Rebuldela officially completes the Apprenticeship Program for LGOOs II and III - Batch 54 (Sanliyab) conducted and facilitated by the Local Government Academy (LGA). The apprenticeship program adopted a hybrid approach (online and face-to-face) in the conduct of the following components: a) Foundation Course (Compponent I); b) Supervised Fieldwork; c) Assessment Center; and, d) Revalida and Graduation . The DILG Ilocos Sur provided assistance to NORFIL Foundation Inc. in partnership with Australia Aid and cbm Global Disability Inclusion in the conduct of Disability Sensitivity Workshop for LGU Line Advocacy Heads on October 21, 2022 at Aloha Nui Resort, Candon City, Ilocos Sur. LGOO VI/Program Manager Cesarieta Pestaño served as a Resource Speaker during the said activity regarding the Disability Concept, Laws, Policies, Mandates and SGLG focusing on the Social Protection and Sensitivity Area. Also, ADA IV AC "Boy" Tano briefly discussed the DILG MC 2021-041 or the Strengthening the Functionality of Persons with Disability Affairs Offices and Persons with Disabilities Focal Persons. On October 6-7,2022, the National Chaplain of the Philippines, the service provider third party monitoring for projects under the LGSF-SBDP FY 2021 of the NTF-ELCAC conducted field survey,data collection and dialogue with beneficiaries on the first day, and a Focus Group Discussion on its second day in Barangay Nagbettedan, Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur. The third party monitoring by a nongovernment entity was deployed to conduct an independent evaluation on the projects to ensure a transparent and accountable implementation of the SBDP. PROJECT MONITORING ON LGSF -SBDP 2021 PD Randy S. Dela ROSA, CESE graced the Launching of the at Senate Pres. Ernesto Maceda Civic Center, San Esteban on October 07, 2022. As the Guest of Honor, he commended the efforts of the PNP on the implementation of the program. In no instance shall a barangay official concerned who did not complete his/her term of office for whatever reason; be eligible to avail of the grand of BOE (2)Completion of term of office shall be define, as follows; (a)For elected barangay official—shall refer to the term of office as specified by the prevailing law on term of office of elected barangay officials. PAUL JAMES CASTILLON Former SK Chairman Barangay Lower Taway Ipil, Zambaoanga Sibugay [email protected] Dear Mr. Castillon: This has reference to your email dated by July 15, 2022 requesting for Clarification on the Grant of Barangay Official Eligibility to a former SK Chairperson. The facts, as culled from the documents forwarded to us, are reproduced as follow: 1. You are a former Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson of Barangay Lower Taway, Ipil, Zambaoanga Sibugay from 1 July 2018 until your voluntary resignation on 10 January 2022; 2. In a letter, you requested for the issuance of a certification of service rendered from the DILG Field Officer in the said municipality, as one of the requirements in securing sub-professional eligibility from the Civil Service Commission (CSC); 3. However, the DILG Field Officer refused to issue the said certification due to your resignation as SK Chairperson as alleged; and 4. Thus, you would like to be clarified if you are qualified to be issued a certification from the DILG municipal office as required by the CSC in securing your sub-professional eligibility. We hold the same position with the NBOO and the DILG Field Officer in denying the issuance of certification of service rendered. Under RA 85241 or an Act Changing the Term of Office of Barangay Officials and Members of the Sangguniang Kabataan from Three (3) Years to Five (5) Years, Amending for the Purpose Section 43 of RA 7196 or the Local Government Code of 1991, the term of barangay officials and members of the sangguniang kabataan shall be for five (5) years. On the other hand, Section 393 (b) (5) of R.A. No. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 provides for the entitlement to appropriate civil service eligibility on the basis of the number of years of services to the barangay, pursuant to the rules and regulations issued by the Civil Service Commission.
