Letter from the Editor
With each issue of this magazine there seems to be some type of growth one
way or another in what we are trying to accomplish. That growth though does come with set backs as well.
It is in those set backs that we can develop character and strengthen ourselves in our
goals. What is our goal? I think we are still trying to figure that out! The initial purpose of this
publication is to bring a Faith based look at how we live our lives. As time elapsed, I think we lost track of that goal. Actually, I know we lost track of that goal. So what do we do now?
Well, the simple answer is to change. I agree with that. But how do we change? What does it mean to be a Faith based publication. The answer to that I think is pretty simple. Define what Faith means and then change based on that definition.
Faith; “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
Now that we know what Faith means,
how do we apply that to this publication?
I decided that we should take a leap of
Faith and simply get back to living as we are called to live by God. That is a simple way of life. A life that is dedicated to helping others. So we are getting back to our grass roots of service to other people. Several of the articles in this publication are about how we have gone about doing that. When you dedicate your life to helping others, I can almost guarantee that Good things will happen. We are looking forward to giving a Praise Report in our next issue.

Getting the Homeless Working
There always seems to be a need for delivery drivers at a pizza place. As we well know, there is no shortage of homeless people that need work. The biggest barrier in getting these jobs filled by a
homeless person is a car. So we decided to do something about that. Marcus Weaver runs a homeless shelter called “New Genesis”. We contacted Marcus about guys needing work. His response was “Heck Yeah! How many jobs do you have?” The next step was to contact “Big Daddy’s Pizza about these jobs. The management of this pizza
chain was very receptive to the idea of putting people in need to work. So everything was ready except one thing. We needed a car to do deliveries. “Hope for the Poor”, our ministry which is dedicated to helping men and women coming out of prison went on the mission of getting a car so someone can do this job!
“Hope for the Poor” has several Partners to help them with these types of situations. With the help of Wade Houg at RFMX Corp. along with us putting our money where our mouth is, a “Jobs Initiative” is Born. We were able to secure a vehicle from Alan Carter at “Universal” Auto Sales and put a young man named “Kevin” to work!
“Kevin” was homeless at the “New Genesis” homeless shelter without a job. He is now gainfully employed with “Big Daddy’s” Pizza and has his own apartment! Now that is
getting something done for sure! Now
let’s repeat this incredible feat! God Willing, We Will!!!

BurnOut takes a New Look
From humble beginnings to a new look that is getting even better! A show that began with a fold up table and a wrinkled banner, this show has grown in both look and content. 2015 was a good year for
both Dave Yedo, second year host of the show and Bruce “Wayne” Jones, a rookie joining the team in 2015. The look of the show dramatically changed in 2015. The first year featured a set that
looked like it was put together in a garage and some duct tape. To be
truthful, it was. But the content of the show was something that people wanted more of in 2015 and both Dave and Bruce delivered. “BurnOut” provided weekly updates of the racing going on at Colorado National Speedway. Although their style is a little unorthodox and a lot of the time off the mark, their effort was spectacular. With Dave’s research and often mis pronunciation of driver’s names with color added to the content by Bruce, a fun filled
and usually entertaining product was produced. The look for 2016 will continue to change and upgrade itself for the good. A new set is being
designed and built, new features, new segments and some fun surprises that will make you laugh while being informed about racing. This show is going to be a must watch for racing fans in 2016!

A Bag Lunch Goes a Long Way
There never seems to be a shortage of homeless men and women in the Denver area. What can we do to help improve that problem? “Hope for the Poor” is looking at doing just that. One of the things that needs to be
established before any help can be administered is trust. You can’t just walk up to someone on the streets and provide help to them. If they don’t know you, then they won’t trust you. So what can you do to get to know the homeless population? How about just showing up each week
with something to eat! The volunteers at “Hope for the Poor” is doing just that. By being a regular part of the lives of the homeless, then you can begin to build a relationship. By building trust, then you can administer further assistance to those
seeking help. The idea of the bag lunch program is not a hand out but a hand up, eventually. Build the relationship first, then provide even a broader form of help later, like housing, jobs etc. Some homeless just don’t want help. We get that. But more importantly, some do. They just need someone to show Love to them more than just once on a holiday. Someone that will say I will help you no matter how long it takes. “Hope for the Poor” is doing just that. It’s easy to Love those that Love you. But how
about extending that Love to those that don’t know you. Ideals like that can make a change!

Relationships
What is the best way to begin getting to know someone? I guess what I am saying is what is the best way to have a relationship with someone? What is the foundation of a good relationship? Some people would say trust. Some would say commitment. Others will say Love. I have to agree with all of those. But the only way I believe you can have all of that is with a solid foundation in Christ as the glue that
holds all of that together. So what does that kind of foundation look like when beginning a relationship? I will share with you my experiences
and try to let you benefit from my wins and losses in the relationship zone. I have relationship as both a husband and a father. In both of those arenas, I have been living in the world and living in Christ. There is no comparison on which one is better.
When you live in the world, the basis of relationship is selfish. It is all about how it makes you feel. When you build a relationship on Christ, you switch to wanting to please the person or people you are in relationship with first. That is a huge difference. You are not seeking pleasure for yourself but fulfillment for others. That is how God shows us to live in his Word. When you live for others
you live for Jesus. When living in the world, my relationships suffered. I eventually hurt the ones I loved. But living in Christ is a desire to serve those you are in relationship with. A much different approach. Yes, you will fail at times. But your successes will far outweigh your failures. Believe me, I am living it!

Say What!
We want to know what you think about what we are doing. Here is what some people had to say
Happy Reader: “Thank you for doing what you guys are doing with the ministry efforts. Looking forward to what’s next”
Response: Thank you for taking the time to see how we are trying to make a difference. God gets all the Glory!
Get a Clue!: “You Jesus Freaks only care about yourselves! Get a Clue!”
Response: OK. How about Colonel Mustard, in the parlor with the candlestick. God Bless You Brother
Keep Going: “Love what you do! Keep it up!” Response: Thank you and God Bless You Always!
Keep those comments coming. We can’t get better unless we hear from you. Let’s be honest, we need to be more talented to get better, but keep those comments coming.
