STORY 1 The Little Match Girl:A Tale Of Love And Light (The Mountain) Once upon a time, in a snowy town, there was a little girl named Lily. She sold matches to help her family, who were very poor. One chilly evening, as the snowflakes fell softly, Lily found herself alone on the cold streets. Lily wore tattered clothes that didn't keep her warm. She didn't have a home to go to, and her tummy rumbled with hunger. Holding her matches tightly, she sat on a corner, hoping someone would buy them. As the night grew darker, Lily felt colder and lonelier. "Matches for sale! Matches for sale!" she called out, but no one seemed to hear her. Her fingers were numb with cold, and tears welled up in her eyes. Suddenly, she had an idea. "Maybe if I light a match, it will warm me up," she thought. So, she struck one against the wall, and a tiny flame flickered to life. Its warm glow lit up the darkness, and for a moment, Lily felt a little bit happier. In the light of the match, Lily saw wonderful things: a big, cosy house, a table filled with delicious food, and her family smiling and laughing together. But all too soon, the match burned out, and the beautiful vision vanished. Determined to see more, Lily struck another match. This time, she saw her dear grandmother, who had passed away. "Grandma!" Lily exclaimed, reaching out, but the match soon went out, leaving Lily alone again. With each match, Lily saw more lovely things and people she missed. But as the matches burned out, so did her hope. She was cold, hungry, and terribly sad.Still, these circumstances did not dim Lily’s hope to search for someone that wanted to buy her matches, she continued walking until she stumbled upon a candle. She lit it up without any hesitation as she longed to see her grandmother’s smile. "I want to see her again," Lily whispered, striking the match and lighting up the candle afterwards. As soon as the candle was lit up,Lily stared intently at the little flame, and started seeing visions. She thought to herself,it would be nice to sit with the flame for a while before she continued walking, thus Lily decided to sit down on the corner of a street and get her rest.

As the flame danced in the darkness, Lily's grandmother appeared before her. "Lily, my dear," her grandmother said gently. "You are loved, and you are never alone." Feeling a warmth unlike any other, Lily closed her eyes and hugged her grandmother tight. And as the last match burned out, Lily felt herself surrounded by love and light, far away from the cold streets of the town. The next morning,Lily woke up,and saw people smiling at her as she opened her eyes.Turns out,A villager saw Lily’s tiny candle flame and saved her from the freezing winter night. The villager saved her and carried her to an orphanage.Lily ended up living in that orphanage and she grew up with lots of friends. From that day on,Lily shared her story to the people of the town about how she had found comfort in the love of her grandmother, who had never left her side and they remembered Lily's story. They knew that even in the darkest of times, love and kindness could light up the world. And whenever they saw a flickering flame, they thought of the little match girl who had touched their hearts with her courage and her love. STORY 2 The Big Friendly Giant's Dream Quest (Monomyth) Once upon a time, in a land where dreams danced in the moonlight and magic sparkled in the air, there was a little girl named Sophie. She couldn't sleep one night, so she peeked out of her window and saw something extraordinary – a giant, strolling through the streets, his long strides gentle and calm. This giant wasn't like the others who roamed the land. He was big, yes, but he was also friendly. He had a kind smile on his face and twinkles in his eyes. This was the Big Friendly Giant, or the BFG as he liked to be called. "Who are you?" Sophie asked, her voice trembling with curiosity. "I am the Big Friendly Giant, I am!" The giant replied with a booming voice that sounded like distant thunder.Sophie asked "You're not like the other giants, are you?" ,to which the BFG responded by saying "No, I am not eating people like them. I like catching dreams!"

Sophie's fear melted away as she realised this giant meant her no harm. In fact, he seemed quite gentle and caring. The BFG reached out his enormous hand and scooped Sophie up with surprising gentleness. "Come with me to Giant Country, little girl. You'll be safe there,Don't worry,i'll protect you" he said kindly. Sophie, though a bit nervous, decided to trust this giant. She held onto his finger tightly as they soared through the night sky and landed in a wondrous place called Giant Country. As they journeyed through Giant Country, Sophie learned that the BFG didn't eat children like the other giants. Instead, he spent his days collecting dreams to share with children all over the world. "Dreams are like little packets of magic," the BFG explained. "They bring joy and happiness to children as they sleep." Sophie was amazed by the BFG's stories and his mission to spread good dreams. She decided to help him on his quest, and together, they set out to collect dreams from the Dream Tree, a majestic tree that grew dreams like fruit. As they travelled, they encountered all sorts of magical creatures – from friendly fairies to mischievous elves. Sophie couldn't believe her eyes at the wonders she saw. But their adventure took a dangerous turn when they stumbled upon the other giants of Giant Country. These giants were mean and nasty, and they liked to eat children! "We have to stop them from hurting people!" Sophie exclaimed bravely. The BFG nodded solemnly. "Yes, but how?"Sophie said to the BFG; "We'll figure it out together, BFG. We make a great team!" Together, they came up with a plan to outsmart the mean giants and protect the children of the world. With Sophie's quick thinking and the BFG's strength, they managed to capture the giants and imprison them in a cave where they couldn't harm anyone ever again. As they stood triumphantly in front of the cave, Sophie hugged the BFG tightly. "You're the kindest giant, BFG. I'm lucky to have you as my friend." "And you're the bravest little girl I ever did meet, Sophie," the BFG replied, his voice filled with warmth.

And so, Sophie and the BFG continued their quest to collect dreams and spread happiness to children everywhere. With each dream they delivered, they knew that their friendship and their adventures would never end. STORY 3 THE UNEXPECTED SWAN (IN MEDIAS RES) In the heart of a lush forest, surrounded by tall trees and glistening streams, there lived a group of elegant swans. Among them was a young cygnet who had once been a duckling, but now, he stood among the graceful swans, his grey feathers shining in the sunlight. Cygnet: (to himself) How did I end up here, surrounded by these majestic creatures? Just a few weeks ago, he had been a lonely duckling, shunned by his peers for his unusual appearance. But fate had led him to this enchanted forest, where he had found acceptance and friendship in the most unexpected of places. Cygnet: (remembering) It all started when I decided to leave the pond in search of friends who would understand me... Flashback: Once upon a time, in a beautiful pond, there lived a family of ducks. They quacked and splashed happily in the water every day. Among them was a little duckling who looked a bit different from the others. He had grey feathers instead of yellow, and he felt sad because the other ducklings didn't want to play with him.The young cygnet waddled away from the pond, his heart heavy with loneliness. He wandered through the forest, hoping to find a place where he belonged. Along the way, he encountered various animals who mocked him for his grey feathers. Rabbit: Ha! Look at that strange duckling! Squirrel: Yeah, he doesn't belong here! Duckling: (sadly) Why don't they want to be my friends? One day, feeling lonely, the little duckling decided to go on an adventure to find friends who would accept him just the way he was.

Duckling: I'll find someone who will like me for who I am. But the cygnet pressed on, determined to find acceptance. Eventually, he stumbled upon a shimmering lake, where a group of swans glided gracefully across the water. Cygnet: (approaching cautiously) Um, hello? One of the swans turned to him, her eyes filled with kindness. Swan: Hello there, little one. What brings you to our lake? Cygnet: I'm looking for friends who will accept me, even though I'm different. Duckling: Swan:Yes,you look awesome! Let's be friends! As the days passed, the little duckling grew stronger and happier with his new friends. But one day, he noticed something strange about himself. Duckling: Why do I feel different from my friends? Swan: (gently) That's because you're not a duckling, my dear friend. You're a cygnet, just like us. Duckling: (surprised) Really? But I thought I was a duckling! Swan: You are special, and that's what makes you wonderful. The little cygnet realised that it didn't matter if he looked different from his friends. What mattered was that they cared about him for who he was inside. Duckling: (joyfully) I may look different, but I'm still me! The swans welcomed him with open wings, accepting him into their flock without hesitation. And as the days passed, the cygnet grew stronger and more confident, basking in the warmth of his newfound friendships. Present: Now, as he stood among the swans, the cygnet realised that he had finally found where he truly belonged.

Cygnet: (gratefully) I may have started as a duckling, but now I know that I'm meant to be here, with my swan family. And so, the once lonely duckling had become a proud cygnet, embracing his true identity and finding happiness in the most unexpected of places. He knew that his new family would welcome him with open wings. And from that day on, he knew that he was loved and accepted, just the way he was.
