Element 1 Introduction consists of:
Introduction 1. Name
2. Age
3. Hobby
4. Attitude

Example:

1. Sarah is my best buddy. She is twelve years old.
She likes to read fairy tale story books. She is a
very hardworking and polite girl to everyone.

2. Steven is my cousin. He is twelve years old. He
likes to cycle every evening with me. He is an
adventurous boy.

3. Lutfi is my classmate. He is twelve years old. He
likes to paint. He is a creative boy.

Element 2 Time markers are to show
Time Markers WHEN the action / activity /

incident happens.

Example: Last school holidays
One sunny day Last month
Last weekend

1. Last school holidays, Sarah and her family went
to an island for a family vacation.

2. Last month, Steven and his family went to the
Broga Hill which is near to their house.

3. One sunny day, Lutfi and his classmates went to
a waterfall which is in Hulu Langat, Selangor.

Element 3 Adverbs are words that
Adverbs MODIFY THE ADJECTIVES

and often end in –ly.

Example:

Sing loudly Walk slowly Eat politely

Swim happily Run quickly Cry quietly

1. He sings loudly.

2. They walk slowly through the corridor.

3. She eats her food politely.

4. Steven swims happily in the pool.

5. Lutfi runs quickly when the dog chased him.

6. Sarah cries quietly when she read a sad story
book.

Element 4 Adjectives are words that
Adjectives DESCRIBE the nouns.

‘OP SHA CO M’

OP= opinion SHA= shape CO= colour M= material

Example:

• Opinion: Good Beautiful Important
Rectangle
• Shape: Round Square
Purple
• Colour: White Black Plastic

• Material: Wooden Silk

1. Sarah is a beautiful girl.
2. Steven found a round bowl in the bush.
3. She went there by her red bicycle.
4. Lutfi got a wooden gun made by his father.

Element 5 Linkers and expression are
used to LINK one point to
Linkers &
Expressions another.

Example:

• To add point: In addition, Besides, Furthermore,
• To compare: On the other hand, However,
• To link time: Meanwhile, Immediately, At that time,

1. Furthermore, Sarah likes to spend her time with her
beloved grandmother.

3. Immediately, Lutfi’s father brings him to the nearest
hospital.
