CHATTANOOGA: OUR HOME TOWN

Brewer Media is Chattanooga’s only locally-owned mass communications
company. We pride ourselves on being actively involved in our home town; the
company has been recognized as Corporate Philanthropist of the Year by The
Association of Fundraising Professionals and have been twice nominated as the
Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year.

Why This Matters To Our Customers...

Marketing dollars invested here stay in the Chattanooga area and resonate in
the business and community environment. In 2016 alone, we provided more
than a million dollars in support to charitable organizations through in-kind
sponsorship. Local ownership also means the ability to swiftly adapt to changing
market conditions and the needs of our advertising partners.
The company is held privately by the Brewer family who, as small business
owners, share many of the same challenges and concerns our partners face
each day. We offer a broad base of media assets in Broadcast and Print
providing the ability to reach and engage a massive collective audience, target
and engage key market segments, and the proven ability to deliver results for
our partners.

OUR MISSION

Brewer Media’s mission is to be a leading multi-
media provider of news, information, and
entertainment; to offer our clients a range of
options for creative and effective advertising; and
to be a positive influence in the community in
which we live.

Our Goals

To create and deliver
compelling informational and
entertainment content that

reflects and enriches the
lifestyle experiences of our

audiences.

To aggressively promote and
to provide a positive forum in

which our advertising
partners can effectively
showcase their products and
services to our audiences

and their customers.

To, as media professionals
and broadcasting licensees,

be ever mindful of our
responsibilities to assess and

strive to meet the societal
needs of the markets and

audiences we serve.

To remain mindful that we
function in a society and
marketplace that are free. In
the environment we strive to
be a leader as measured by

our audiences, our
customers, and our financial

success.

A Thriving Local Economy

Chattanooga Is A Great Place To Visit...and Even
Greater Place To Live!

An abundance of natural
resources and a central
location on the Interstate
Highway System make
Chattanooga a great place to
visit. From the world famous
attractions on Lookout
Mountain to the Tennessee
Aquarium there is much to see
and do here. The region is at or
near historically low
unemployment due in large
part to the Volkswagen
assembly plant, associated
industries and two regional
Amazon fulfillment facilities.

SPORTS

With six radio stations and WDEF TV12, the
Chattanooga Traffic Network is the Tennessee

Valley’s most powerful Branding Platform. Reports
originate from our centralized Traffic Center,
delivering the most detailed and up to the minute
information on traffic conditions throughout the
metro area—naturally, during Peak Drive Time.
Listeners tend to pay more attention when traffic
reports air, peaking their interest in conditions
that may affect their commute time. Reports
usually air ahead of commercial breaks with
sponsor messages heard before other advertisers.

Engaging Content—Influential
Readers

The Pulse is Chattanooga's premier alt-
weekly newspaper and gives us a
newsprint presence on the streets in
more than 200 distribution points all over
Chattanooga reaching over 36,400
influential readers.

When it comes to making “cultural buying
decisions,” Influentials who read The
Pulse are more dependent on editorial
(both reviews and feature articles) and
advertising rather than both the general
public and Influentials as a whole.

Culture, in almost every sub-category
defined in this survey, is more important
to Influentials who read The Pulse than
to the general public or Influentials as a
whole.

The Pulse readers consume and
recommend cultural activities at a much
greater rate that the general public or
Influentials as a whole.

Readers know that they can trust The
Pulse to provide the highest quality
entertainment, art and culture news,
while also providing fantastic columnists
such as On The Beat, Shades of Green,
and Shrink Rap. All content is curated
locally by writers with in-depth
knowledge of their subject matter.
