CORPORATE INTRODUCTION

The establishment of Murni Nursing College Murni 5th Convocation
(Murni) is traceable to the Az-Zahrah Islamic
Medical Centre located in Bandar Baru Bangi, with our strategies intents to extent and expand our

Programme Information
The Diploma in Nursing is a three (3) years diploma
programme offered to school leavers with Sijil Pelajaran
Malaysia (SPM) of minimum five (5) credits. International
admission is allowed with the equivalent academic
performance in Ordinary Level (O level) examination.

The Diploma in Nursing programme is developed to
educate and train student on varies nursing skills. Student will
be exposed to the required nursing skills and will manage
patients with various issues related to individual and
community health, while undergoing this programme.

The curriculum provides a balance theoretical and
hands-on learning experiences for student who would like
to be successful in the health and nursing career.

Student undertaking the programme will study the following
modules as part of the graduation requirements.
• Health Sciences (Anatomy and Physiology,

Pharmacology and Microbiology & Parasitology)
• Behavioural Sciences (Anatomy and Physiology,

pharmacology and Microbiology & Parasitology)
• Nursing Sciences e.g. Principles and Practice of Nursing

DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Programme Information
The Diploma in Medical Assistant is a three (3) years
diploma programme offered to school leavers with Sijil
Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) of minimum five (5) credits. There
is no International admission is allowed for this programme
at present.

The Diploma in Medical Assistant programme is an

undergraduate programme developed with the objective

to educate and train student on the physical examination Student performing stitching procedure at skill lab
as a process of a diagnosing patient’s illness. As part of the

learning, student will have exposure on managing patients. The lecture, laboratory and clinical based

learning process at this college will ensure student have a strong understanding in medical terminology,

anatomy and physiology, patient care, pharmacology, medical office and management procedures,

communication skills as well as computer skills.

Student undertaking the programme will study the following modules as part of the graduation requirements
• Medical surgical
• Health sciences
• Behavioural Sciences
• Nursing Sciences
• Medical sciences
• Elective Module (Information Technology and English)
• M alaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) Subject

Graduate from this programme would be able to use the knowledge and skills learnt throughout the
programme to practice as Assistant Medical Officer (AMO), as they are known currently.

The graduates are qualified and would be able to provide curative, promotive, preventive and
rehabilitative services at suitable levels under the supervision of the Medical Officer.

DIPLOMA IN HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT

Programme Information
The Diploma In Healthcare Management programme exposes students to the knowledge and skills in the
field of healthcare and its related areas. Students will learn about basic sciences, healthcare management,
developmental pyshcology, management and communication skills, basic managerial skills information
systems as well as the health and social care services while undertaking the three years programme. The
coverage of the courses offered for this programme will essential help students to gain transferable skills
and knowledge in healthcare management and beyond.

The Diploma In Healthcare Management is one of the highly recommended programmes for students who
had completed their SPM / SPMV or its equivalent. This programme gives students a solid background for
managing healthcare resources and its associated issues before embarking towards being a part of the
healthcare management and its associates areas.
