The Industrial Revolution began in
Great Britain in the late 1700s.
Many of the first innovations
became what they are today
during this time.The Industrial
Revolution lasted for over 100
years.

Cause & Effects of the
Industrial Revolution.

Innovations in agriculture,
production, and transportation led
to the Industrial Revolution, which
originated in Western Europe and
spread over time to Japan and
other regions. This led to major
population shifts and transformed
economic and social systems.

Children during the
Industrial Revolution

Children were not treated well,
they were overworked and
underpaid for a long time.
Children as young as six
years old during the Industrial
Revolution worked hard hours
for little to no pay.

● The Industrial Revolution occurred in the last
part of the 18th century. It began in Great
Britain.

● there were also many new advancements in
technology

● The population went from being agricultural to
industrial. This meant people moved off of the
farms and out of the country. There were huge
numbers of people that moved into cities. Many
people were forced to move to the cities to look for
work. They ended up living in cities that could
not support them.
