Sharing Network Resources Keeping Your Data Secure
Here’s how to find shared folders, and share your own files on a network. Windows 7 lets you protect your data by locking your workstation, changing
passwords, and encrypting files.
Finding Shared Folders on Your Network
Locking Your Workstation
Open Windows Explorer (See To open Windows Explorer, page 2). Double-click
the Network link at the bottom of the left pane to browse your network(s). Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Lock this computer. To unlock your
workstation, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, type your logon password, and click OK.
To open files and folders shared on a network: once you’ve found the network
