ncwu.edu | 7 Teacher Education Residency Licensure An alternative path to becoming a professional educator is through a Residency License, allowing qualified individuals to begin teaching while completing North Carolina licensure requirements. NC Wesleyan oers two options: Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12). Participants can complete coursework, testing requirements and the PPAT in as few as three full semesters and two summer sessions, with continuous enrollment. Located on NC Wesleyan’s campus, in the heart of Rocky Mount, the venue annually hosts a Wesleyan Season Series of cultural events and concerts.
