University of Brighton UK stripes in the Malaysian advertising

pursuing and obtaining his Masters

Since its establishment [c.2012] the privately-run gallery has moved from strength to
strength. It is a subsidiary of UiTM Holdings Sdn. Bhd. whereby an initial start-up
fund was provided. Since then, the gallery has managed to generate a robust sales
& profit. It has come to position itself as one of the major venues of the Malaysian
contemporary art scene. As Creative Council member of the gallery, I partake in
multiple roles covering the Branding and Promotions, Editorial duties in both social
media and print, conduct Art Talks and other related knowledge sharing sessions
between artists and art aficionados alike. This is the commercialisation aspect of my
role as academia which is rich in real-world experience. Much of this experience is
reflective of my present teaching content.
The gallery is also pivotal as a platform to launch
young talent in the Malaysian contemporary art
scene.

As an associate and advocate of Rekanegara, I bring
the academic input and network in meeting this non
profit organisation. I contribute in the capacity of
organising, overseeing editorial duties covering both
the social media & print together with moderating
certain sessions. As a community, Rekanegara
provides a regular platform where industry players
and newcomers come together. Rekanegara offers a
real opportunity for the creative industry players to
share their knowledge and vision. Below are some

video for U.K. Proton car dealers.

February, 1987 FREELANCE GRAPHIC DESIGNER, Asst. Art Director for feature film
to November, 1987 "Rahsia" An Othman Hafsham production. Introduced the first
computer generated storyboards for the pre-production. Worked in
numerous design and advertising agencies on a project basis.
