PLP Evaluation December 2021
Lochlan loves the company of his
friends . He likes mark making and is
often at the writing table. He loves
using the dough and water play. He
loves drawing and will make at least
one picture a day to put in his bag.
Lochlan has loved visiting the woods
and exploring and climbing. He
enjoyed the walk to the local park .
His listening and attention skills are
really developing and he is joining in
more often at group time. He is
practicing rote count to 10.
PLP January 2022
For Lochlan’s targets he will be given
lots of opportunity to be independent
in his dressing. He will be encouraged
to put on his own jackets, outdoor
clothes shoes and wellies. For his
literacy outcome he will be given lots
of chances to look at books, listen to
story and act out story to enhance his
understanding of story and who, why,
where questions. During his numeracy
challenges he will have lots of
experiences finding and making
patterns in the classroom. For his
own personal plan he told me he
wanted to build a house at the blocks.

Lochlan has really embraced You can’t catch me ,run run as fast as

Gingerbread Man. He can use gingerbread man
props to tell who was first,

Lochlan has achieved all his targets
this term. He is so confident getting
ready at home time and when he is
going outdoors. He has really enjoyed
listening to the stories we have had,
especially The Gingerbread Man which
he can retell from start to finish. He
has a firm grasp of pattern and can
continue and make up his own.
Lochlan has enjoyed lots of outdoor
learning this term and really enjoyed
the snowy weather. He has enjoyed
using the new blocks and can build
great dens and structures. Lochlan
enjoys playing in the home corner and
makes lovely meals and drinks for his
friends.
PLP April 2022
For Lochlans personal targets he will be
introduced to life cycles and we will chat
about various life cycles of chickens,
butterflies and frogs. We will chat about
babies and flowers and tree and other life
cycles we discover. For his literacy targets I
will give him lots of opportunity to develop
his fine motor control and hand
coordination. He will have access to scissors,
drawing materials, pincers and threading
experiences . During his numeracy
experiences we will work within the numbers
1 to 5 and reiterate 1:1 correspondence. We
will match numerals and begin to recognise
them . For Lochlans own plans he said he
wanted to make dinner for his friends in the
house corner.

Lochlan has achieved all his targets
this term. For his Health and Well-
being target we looked at various life
cycles. We looked more closely at the
frog and butterfly. Lochlan liked
looking at the caterpillars in class
during the stages of change. For his
literacy targets he was given lots of
opportunity to develop his fine motor
control threading, cutting, lacing and
drawing. He is showing a deeper
understanding of amount and counting,
he is matching numerals consistently
and is beginning to recognise a few.
He has enjoyed visits to the woods and
outdoor play. He is showing lovely
imagination and leads lots of play in
class.
Lochlan, I am so proud of all your
achievements this year. I hope you have
a fabulous summer and can’t wait to see
you after the holidays.
