I’m Back !!!

30 August 2021
Leon ‘J has settled
back into class well. He
has been coming
through for lunch and
is beginning to try and
taste most food. He
has enjoyed meeting
his friends and using
all the resources.

PLP September 2021

For Leon ‘J ‘s personal learning targets he will
be given lots of experiences to develop his
gross motor control, throwing, catching ,
bouncing a ball with both hands. He will be give
opportunities to develop his fine motor skills
and will be given lots of opportunities to
practice cutting , snipping and using tweezers.
He will have lots of experience using writing
tools , pencils, chalks, foam etc. Leon ‘J will be
give opportunities to develop a deeper
understanding of 1:1 correspondence up to 5.
For his own personal learning he told me he
wanted to make “red, hot dough”.

dressed, I am do it all by

managed to put on his

What a superstar!

I got bubbles and a
bouncy ball. I was 4 that

day. 

I celebrated my birthday at nursery. I was 4
years old. My friends sang Happy Birthday to
me and I got a card and I chose 2 presents
from the birthday box.

Leon ‘J is developing fine
motor control. He is using the
tweezers to collect the bears.
He is using his knife and fork
effectively. He can pour out
his own milk, “Just a spot not a
lot.”

Leon ‘J was cutting up little
bits of paper and was counting
them out in a line. He was also
finding 5 red bears and
counting them out.

Leon J was estimating
what size of ribbon would
fit around each object. He
also could estimate that
the car would go further

PLP Evaluation December 2021

Leon ‘J loves all aspects of nursery learning.
He loves the company of his friends and plays
well with all class members. He has enjoyed
using the sand area and making and playing
with the dough. He has enjoyed building some
great structures using the Lego. Leon’J has
achieved all his targets set and is showing
improving skills in all areas of his learning.
Leon’J loves the outdoors both when visiting
the woods or out in the Nursery garden. Leon’J
has a super grasp of phonological awareness
and enjoys games to practice his rhyming,
syllables and initial sounds. He is enjoying
using the numeracy resources to extend his
understanding of number and counting.

PLP January 2022

For Leon ‘J’s targets he will be
encouraged to follow more intricate
routine with no adult support. During
his literacy challenge he will be given
lots of opportunity to copy his name
and write it on his pictures and other
devices. He will be given big
challenges in his numeracy outcomes
and will continue to extend his
understanding of number order and
will demonstrate this by starting at a
given number and stoping at another
within the 1 to 10 number line. For his
own personal learning he wanted to
built a house using his own design.

Leon ‘J has enjoyed using the props to tell stories in
class. He has super recall and knows the storylines
beginning, middle and end. He can tell the story of Dear
Zoo and The Gingerbread Man.

stopping at certain points.
Ie start at 2 and finish at 8

Leon J has a fantastic understanding of
number. He was quick to understand the
challenge of starting and stopping within the
number line to 10 . I couldn’t trick him !

PLP Evaluation March 2022

Leon’J has achieved all his targets this term.
He is independent following more complex
routines such as lunch time and outdoor
routines. He is beginning to copy him name
more confidently. He can write his L with no
visual prompt . Leon’J has a fantastic
understanding of number and could follow the
challenge of starting and stopping at various
points on the number line to 10.
Leon’J enjoyed lots of outdoor learning and has
taken part in a walk in the local area as part of
his transition to Primary 1. He particularly
enjoyed the snowy weather. He really enjoyed
playing the Going to the Shops game and could
follow the rules and understand the concepts
of the game. He is now showing great skill
recognising and naming numbers to 100. We
were also talking about 3 digit numbers.

PLP April 2022

For Leon’J’s personal learning plan
he will be given opportunities to lead
learning for his peers. He will be
given experience that give his a
chance to adopt different roles in
group and individual experiences.
For his literacy challenge he will be
given opportunities to develop his
skill and understanding drawing a
detailed figure. During his numeracy
challenge he will be introduced to the
concept of addition and subtraction
and do lots of activities to develop
these. For his own personal plan he
said he wanted to make black doh.

Leon’J was the teacher. He had to choose what
nursery rhymes we were to sing and he chose which
children could act out the rhymes.

During group time Leon’J was the star helper, he
then chose to play the syllable challenge and gave
the children words to clap out.

Leon ‘J has achieved all his targets this
term. He has shown fantastic leadership
skills and has taken the group during
group time and activities. During his
literacy challenges he has gained more
skills drawing detailed figures. He enjoyed
drawing his family and chatting about his
drawings. He is showing a deeper
understanding of number and can
demonstrate simple addition and
subtraction. He has enjoyed visits to the
woods and outdoor play. He has loved
visiting the Primary 1 area and has met
his class teacher and new class mates.

Leon’J I hope you have the best time in
Primary 1.  Have a fantastic summer and I
can’t wait to see you after the holiday in

your new uniform.
