I’m Back !!!
30th August 2021
Skyla has settled
back into class well
and is enjoying the
company of the
other children. She
has been tasting
lots of different
foods at lunch
time .
PLP September 2021
Skyla will be given opportunities to
develop her friendships and play
cooperatively and lead play. I will
give her lots of experiences to
develop her listen and talking skills
and will ask her to chat to others
and talk independently in lots of
situations. We will do lots of
counting games to further develop
her understanding of number to 3.
We will count out objects, rote
count and sing song related
rhymes. For her personal learning
target she told me she wanted to
make dough.

With support she was putting 1 block at
number 1. 2 at number 2. She went to 5
but needed a more support to make
connections.

I had a lovely time at
nursery on my birthday. I
showed my friends my new
bike. Then my friends sang
Happy Birthday to me and I
got a card and 2 toys from
the birthday box.

PLP Evaluation December 2021
Skyla has been really active drawing and
mark making. She is exploring all the
resources, paint, chalk, white board and
collage. She enjoys using he new sand area
and is at the sand daily. She is keen to help
make the dough when we need it and can
spend a long time playing with it too.
Skyla has achieved all her targets and is be
coming more confident in all areas of her
learning.
Skyla has really enjoyed her visit to the
woods and local park. She loves being
outside in the nursery garden. Skyla loves
to join in with the keep fit exercises we do
and loves singing and story time too.

For Skyla’s targets this term she will
be given lots of opportunities to chat
about why we are the same and why
we are different. For her literacy
targets we will look at lots of
different books and retell and act out
the various story lines. We will chat
about beginning, middle and end of
the stories. For her numeracy
challenges she will get lots of
opportunities to order numbers to 10
during her day to day play. For her
own learning she said she wanted to
draw a house then build it.

Skyla had fabulous fun when it
had been snowing in the
nursery garden
Skyla had great fun making
pancakes with her friends.
They she ate them all up.
Delicious.
Skyla enjoyed a visit from the children from Primary
1 and they read lots of stories to them for world
book day.

Skyla enjoyed reading the story of Dear Zoo and
Rosie’s Walk . After hearing the story’s a few times
she could retell the story in the correct sequence.

Skyla has achieved all her targets this term.
She is confident talking about similarities
and differences between her self, family and
friends. She has enjoyed listening to the
various stories and using the props and
pictures can retell the story in the correct
sequence. Skyla has shown a great
understanding of number and not only
recognised and ordered to 5 but to 10 too.
Skyla is enjoying lots of drawing and mark
making. She will draw pictures and ask an
adult to write the story about it. She is
beginning to copy her own name too. Skyla
enjoyed lots of outdoor play and liked using
the new climbing apparatus. She has taken
part in a walk in the local area as part of her
transition to Primary 1

words and sentences written by an
adult. During her numeracy
challenges she will be given
opportunities to demonstrate her

her own plan she said she wanted to
make sandcastles with the sand and
pour it too.

Skyla has met all her targets this term. For
her Health and Well Being challenges she can
follow a more complex routine independently.
For example the lunch time routine, going
outdoors and being the star helper. During
her literacy targets she thoroughly enjoyed
copy words and sentences. She was often ask
me to write different words for her to copy.
She was demonstrating a super understanding
of number to 10 during lots of various of play
experiences in class. She has had
opportunities to visit the primary area and
become familiar with the surroundings. She
went to visit her class and meet her teacher.
She has enjoyed visits to the woods and really
enjoys climbing, and exploring the area.
Skyla I hope you have the best time in
Primary 1. I am so proud of all your
achievements this year and can’t wait to see
you in your new uniform.
