A visit from the firefighters.

James got a special treat when the Primary 1 class invited
him to join in with their visit from the Fire Fighters. He
could certainly tell them all he knew about fire
extinguishers and hoses.

PLP Evaluation December 2021

James has loved finding our fire
extinguishers and telling us all about
them. When the man came to refill
and check them he was delighted to
talk to him. James enjoyed mark
making and likes to draw electric
bolts and fires. James has achieved
all his targets this term.
James is showing skill drawing and
then chatting about his picture. He
has enjoyed our visit to the woods
and local park. James is recognising
his own name and is beginning to
guess his friends when I give him an
initial letter clue.

PLP January 2022

For James learning targets he will be
given lots of opportunities to put his
shoes, jacket and outdoor clothing
independently. For his literacy he will
be given lots of experiences to hear
different stories and be given props and
support to retell the sequence of
events. During his numeracy targets he
will be given lots of opportunities to
develop his knowledge and
understanding of copying and continuing
a simple pattern . For James’s own
personal learning he wanted to draw
electric bolts and electricity.

story . He was using the book to retell the story

James has achieved his targets this term. He
has a good understanding of pattern and
could follow and continue patterns
confidently. He has enjoyed listening to lots
of stories and can retell various parts of the
stories. He has become more independent
getting himself ready for home time and
outdoor play. Again James has had a lovely
investigative nature and helps to put up the
hazards sign when the floor is wet.
James has enjoyed playing outdoors this
term. He enjoyed the snowy weather and has
enjoyed using the new climbing apparatus.
James has enjoyed using the new blocks and
is confident building super structures and can
name and count corners, sides and talk about
straight lines and curves.

PLP April 2022

For James’s learning targets this
term he will be given lots of
information about the life cycles of
animals and plants. He will be given
lots of opportunities to develop his
fine motor skills, threading cutting
and using small tools effectively.
During his numeracy challenge we
will be chatting about estimation
and contexts. For his own plan he
wanted to learn about fire safety.

PLP Evaluation June 2022

James has achieved all his targets this
term. During his health and well being
experiences he found out about the life
cycle of a frog and a butterfly. We had
live caterpillars and we watched then
turn to butterflies. For his literacy
targets he was given lots of
opportunities to using pencils, scissors
and threading toys to develop fine
motor controls. During his numeracy
skills he did lots of guessing,
estimating and working out during his
play. He has enjoyed visits to the woods
and lots of outdoor play.

James I hope you have a fantastic summer.  I am really proud
of all your achievements this year and I’m really looking
forward to seeing you after the holidays.
