ALUMINIUM PRODUCTION

MADE WITH PASSION IN SWITZERLAND

SIGG not only stands for quality and perfection, but also for environmental awareness. Since the beginning of the
company’s history, the founders of the Swiss aluminium goods factory SIGG have been interested in using excess
material from production and thus using resources sparingly: the SIGG bottle was born – its production and design
unchanged ever since.

It all starts with a piece of aluminium that’s the shape
of an ice hockey puck. Every puck is extruded by a
600-ton piston stroke and then flows along the piston,
transforming it into a cylinder. The cylinder gets shaped
into a bottle with the help of up to 26 differently shaped
modules, each one moving the metal further towards the
final shape. Once the bottle has the iconic form that we
all know, the next step is to coat the inside of the bottle
with our liner to avoid direct contact between the liquids
and the aluminium.

Once the shape and the inside of the bottle are ready,
we paint the outside with the desired colour and design
using the screen-printing method. The lid is added, and a
manual quality check ensures that all bottles leaving the
production line are in perfect condition.

INNOVATION

Each year SIGG launches a new range of
products featuring plenty of functionality and
new materials.

DESIGN SIGG’s iconic design is internationally ren-
SUSTAINABILITY owned and has won various design awards.
It has been given a permanent place in New
York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMa).
SIGG products are reusable, easy to clean and
recyclable. Raw materials used by SIGG are
free of BPA, phthalates and other harmful sub-
stances. SIGG produces bottles in Switzerland
with the overarching goal of keeping its environ-
mental impact as low as possible. Thanks to
innovative solutions, it has been able to reduce
its ecological footprint further and further. SIGG
currently uses more than 55 percent energy
from renewable sources in its bottle production.
The small amount of waste from production is
recycled at a rate of 99 percent, and the water
used to clean the bottles is collected in a closed
system and recycled. Thanks to the longevity of
its high-quality and reusable aluminium bottles,
SIGG products have a significantly better CO²
balance than disposable PET bottles.

PRINTING INDIVIDUAL PRINTING

Our commitment to outstanding quality extends beyond the manufacturing starting from 100 pieces
of our bottles, it includes the printing process as well. SIGG has been using
the screen printing method for years. It delivers strikingly clear print colours
with lasting brightness. We can print your bottle with up to six colours.
The result: an outstanding advertising medium for your brand.

Each SIGG bottle is a piece of top Swiss craftsmanship for exploring the world. For over
100 years, an achievement we wish to honour with these series. The body is made of a
single piece of high-quality aluminium and is manufactured in Switzerland. It is especi-
ally light and robust. The highly elastic inner coat­ing is resistant against fruit acids, is
neutral in taste, and is free of harmful substances such as BPA and phthalates. These
bottles are available in many different colours with either our proven screw top or the
practical wide mouth opening.

bottle to be filled and cleaned more easily. The body is made of a single piece of high-

ENGRAVE
The Gemstone Collection is made of double-walled stainless steel which keeps the content hot
or cold for a long time. The flasks have an ultra-thin inner body made using a special spinning HOT&COLD, HOT&COLD ONE, GEMSTONE
technology, so they weigh 30% less. Thanks to high-precision welding, the vacuum gap inside
the bottle has been reduced to a minimum. This results in a smaller bottle size compared to
standard bottles with identical volume.
The award-winning Hot&Cold collection in the typical SIGG look keeps drinks hot or cold for
hours. Different sizes and tops offer the perfect solution for every occasion. The sizes 0.3 L
and 0.5 L with the classic top and removable tea filter made of stainless steel or with the easy-
to-use ONE top: carry, open, drink, close, all with one hand. The closure is easily split into two
parts for cleaning, the drinking lip can be adapted for the left and right-handed. The sizes­0.75 L­,
and 1.0 L are equipped with a cup. All bottles are double-wall vacuum-insulated and made of
high quality stainless steel.
