The brand

A company
with something special

The monbento® adventure began in 2009. After getting back from a trip to Australia,
Fabien, designer, came up with an innovative catering concept. This project, based on
eco-design and on reusable containers led him to the bento box

The lunch box soon became an indispensable item of daily use for Emilie, physiotherapist.
Despite being relevant and suitable for Western life, the bento box is still hard to find in
Europe.

In face of this observation and a desire to get into
business, Fabien and Emilie went into partnership to
create monbento®.

A PEUGEOT FAMILY BRAND

monbento®,
a Peugeot Family Brand

Driven by its desire to take innovation further, in July 2018, monbento® joined
the Peugeot family Group.
Already involved in the culinary world through Peugeot Saveurs SNC, the
Peugeot family Group has, since 1810, developed products and skills that
help make everyday life easier. Ingenuity, design, the French way of life,
innovation, an international presence and an appreciation for the human
dimension are just some of the shared aspirations that led to this alignment
between monbento® and Peugeot.
After just one year of sharing and collaboration, a high level of synergy has
already come to the fore. The two companies have begun to collaborate in
terms of marketing, sales and manufacturing while continuing to maintain
their unique identity in order to build a future full of important projects!

“As a French company, it is important to us to
produce locally, as close as possible to markets.
The Made in France adventure began with our
emblematic MB Original bento box, manufactured
in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, where
monbento® was born.
2021 marks a further step in this approach that we
are very proud of, with the launch of new Made
in France references: the MB Savor, MB Delight
and MB Jar. This new range strengthens our
local presence and at the same time, retains all
our products advantages that we deeply care
about: quality of materials and finishes, choice
of partners who are experts in their field and
production proximity.
Extending our ranges with Made in France products
also means going even further in our commitments:
supporting the local economy and reducing our
carbon footprint, while maintaining our high quality
standards to o er products that are everyday
partners, pleasant to use and that follow us for
as long as possible. In the current situation, this
approach makes even more sense to us.
All of this is an important step, and we are excited
to share with you what’s next, because yes, we
already have some plans and they are coming soon!”

Why plastic?

• Reusable for a very long time: shock resistant and slow
wear

generate less CO2 than glass

Since its creation in 2009, monbento® encourages everyone to For homemade meals
take care of themselves and the environment through reusable

Thanks to its millions of users worldwide, monbento® has become
a major actor in the fight against disposable containers.

The food service industry is also at the heart of this concern
with the introduction of new laws and general awareness of the
environmental impact. Changes in this industry also accelerates
the transition to a sustainable system.

That’s why it appeared natural to create a new range of
reusable take-away containers, designed with and for these
professionals. Tomorrow’s challenge is to implement a deposit
system for these containers - a project monbento® is already
