2 Birds do not just fly. They fall and get up. Our Pre-primary sports day was held on Saturday, 4th November. It was a fun-filled day focusing on promoting physical activities and healthy competition. 3 Mr Ankit Agarwal, Chairman, released balloons to symbolize the free spirit of a child and the boundless potential to spread out the wings to explore the world around them. 7 The event drew to a close with favorable climate, enthusiastic children, parents and the hard work of the teachers. The Pre-primary sports day was a wonderful event.
8 Green Energy Save Energy, Save Money, Save the Nation, Save the Planet. Green energy is any energy type that is generated from natural resources, such as sunlight, wind or water. It often comes from renewable energy sources. Green energy is a very important topic, requiring close attention. Apart from keeping our Environment Clean it also helps us in keeping healthy and preventing diseases, keeping this in mind on 2nd December, 2023 the students of Class 5 thA conducted an Assembly. The theme of the Assembly was ‘Keeping our Planet Clean by promoting use of Green Energy’ The students exhibited their talent by Conducting various feats like: - 1. The assembly was conducted by -Aditi and Akshat 2. The Pledge was read by - Arnav Negi 3. In order to promote positive vibes, the ‘Thought for the Day’ was shared by - Aradhya 4. In order to keep us updated regarding the Current Affairs, the news was read by - Divya 5. Vedant gave an informative speech on the Topic 6. The Choir also sang a song based on the topic ‘Green Energy” in order to spread awareness. This Assembly was undoubtedly a result of the immense efforts put together by students and their teacher Ms. Ritu. 10 To motivate our students to develop creative and communication skills, the school had the organised a poster making event. The topic was Green Energy. During this time the School was privileged to have an exchange programme with a School from Sikar. The students from Dev Vidyalaya, Sikar (Rajasthan) participated and worked with DGS students on the concept of Green Energy. It was an exciting moment for our students, to have them among us. Participants were 1. Grade 6 - Ishita, Shonit, Jianna, Vaishnavi Lodi, Aniqua, Shreya, Ayaan, Tejasvi, Agrima. 2. Grade 7 - Vartika, Amar, Kshitiz, Arnab, Akshita. 3. 12 Grade 9-11 Date – 2 nd Nov,2023 The students of Grade 9B conducted the assembly on the topic “Green Energy “. The conduction of the assembly was done by Lavanya Thandani. The ‘Thought of the Day’ was presented by Abdul Wahab. Shivani Bhatt recited a poem highlighting the importance of Green Energy and its use. Chetna Giri conducted a short quiz on Green Energy Resources followed by news bulletins by Akshit Bisht. In the end, the students of Grade 9B presented a short skit on ‘Conservation of Resources’ to create awareness among the Students regarding the careful use of resources and they also laid emphasis on Sustainable development which is the call of the day. The students who participated in the skit are Chetna Giri, Kinjal Srivastav, Abdul Wahab, Akshit Bisht, Aryan Bisht, Aditya Solanki, Md. Tehzib and Yash Rana. SENIOR SCHOOL ASSEMBLY
13 DGS NSS Unit organised Night Camp on 8th Nov to 9th Nov 23. The volunteers stayed in tents. The NSS Volunteers had new experiences and learnt new things and lots of Adventure of course. ➢ Knew about various Mountaineering and trekking gears, also how to use them. NSS OVERNIGHT CAMP

22 We take pride in sharing that our DGS Volleyball Girls Team won 2nd position (1st Runner-up Position) in the Sahodaya Inter-School Senior Girls Volleyball Tournament at Shivalik Academy. We played a total of three matches and won two matches out of three. ➢ First Match DGS beat Sanguine School ➢ Second Match DGS beat Shivalik Academy ➢ Third Match Annfield School beat DGS. 25 Doon Global School Hosted Sahodaya Inter-School Junior & Senior Girls Athletic Meet on 29th and 30TH Nov 2023. 18 Schools participated in the Tournament. First Day: - on 29th Nov we started with the opening Ceremony of Junior Girls in which all the schools participate in the march past, followed by the lighting by our chef-guest and started the torch relay. After this, Our Honourable chief guest Shri Somdutt Tyagi ji inaugurated the athletic meet by flying balloons towards the sky. We started our first event with the 800M final and ended with the 4X100M Final. We continued the same sequence of programs on the next day. Second day: - 30th November but ended with the closing ceremony in which dance was presented by our DGS Garhwali Girls and the tournament concluded with the announcement of the overall results by giving away trophies and medals to the schools and players.
