W hat a Garden Looks Like

If a garden is healthy then it garden could look like a meadow in your backyard. Also as a
garden grows it can become as colorful as a rose bush. As well as getting colorful it can
also become very lifely because animals and bees will be all around because of your
garden. There can be multiple kinds of gardens from flower gardens to food gardens.
Some gardens grow trees, fruits, or vegetables. Gardens can also be used to save
wildlife, for instance, there is a decrease in bee population and gardens can give bees
more pollen which helps them make honey which helps them survive the winter.

The Life of a Plant

The life of a plant starts at the seed. When the seed is planted it takes one to two week
for it to sprout. Next, after it sprouts it can take about ten to twenty weeks to come above
ground. After that, it can take up to three to four months for it to completely mature. After the
plant matures it could start producing food. And then the whole cycle starts over again.

H ot Peppers Vs Peppers

There are many differences and similarities between hot peppers and regular peppers.
One difference is that hot peppers are spicy and regular peppers could be tart or sweet. A
similarity is that they both grow from plants. The second difference is that regular peppers are
usually used in soups and hot peppers are used in tacos. Another similarity is they are both
edible. Finally, another similarity is that they are both unable to be grown in the winter.

What Bugs do to Plants

So in the spring when you plant your plants there might not be that many bugs around. But
when it's later in the year more bugs come out and can cause damage to plants. For instance,
the bugs can put holes in the leaves. An effect of the bugs putting holes in the leaves is the
plants could die or could not make enough nutrients for its self and died. Another effect of bugs
can be of the bugs could dig into the ground and eat the plant's roots. Finally, if there are
enough bugs it could block out the sun for a while if there is a major migration.

 Garden

At the beginning of spring, my dad and I planted various types of plants including,
strawberries, cucumbers, blueberries, lots of different types of hot peppers, and watermelons.
After the plans grew and started growing the food we started to pick them but noticed that the
leaves had holes through them and the plants were dying. After a while we found out that lots of
bugs came through our neighborhood and ate the watermelon plants leaves and killed them, so
we didn't get any watermelons that year. Also since there were birds in the area they ate the
blueberries and my dad didn't get any that year. And some solutions for these problems we are
going to put chicken wire around and over our blueberry plants and we are going to put some
bug repellent near our watermelons and peppers. By doing this we hope that we get better
harvests next year.

Autobiography

My name is Tristan Welsh and I am 11 years old and was born on April 20, 2007, and live
in Camphill PA. A hobby of mine is watching youtube and playing video games. I play
video games because it keeps me calm and it makes me happy. Things I like to do in
summer is going to the beach and body boarding, another thing I do in the summer is
fishing with my dad and, going to my cousin's beach house and crabbing off their dock.
The type of weather I like the most is snowy and cold. Whenever it snows I like to go
sledding and have snowball fights with my brother.
