How did the fur trade give the French
claims to the New World?

Fur trade:
Fur trade was important to the french
because without the fur they would not
have any clothes nor would they have any
reasons to trap the animals to get there fur,
and last without fur trading they would just
get rid of all the fur.

French fur trade:
1600-1760
During the 1600-1760 the french were out
to find a new trade route to china, but they
ended up in the new world to be the first to
find Newfoundland in 1700.One of the goals
that the French had were to find a new
trade route to china. The French had a fairly
good relationship with the Native
Americans.
