We offer year round programming designed to help youngpeople connect, reflect, and grow. In the summer, youth can participate in two week PEAK camp sessions. CAREGIVER ORIENTATIONHOW TO REGISTERDEPOSIT POLICYYour refundable registration deposit mustbe paid in order to register.After your child successfully completes their campyour deposit will be returned. For Day Camps, onlyONE excused absence is allowed to qualify for arefund. No shows, late cancellations, and lowattendance forfeit the deposit refund.Deposits can be paid with a credit/debit card or ACHaccount online, or with cash or check in person.If you are unable to pay the deposit, call our officeto make other arrangements.CANCELLATION POLICYFor all summer camps, cancellations madeprior to June 1 will be eligible for a refundeddeposit.For any other program, cancellations the week beforeor no shows may affect future eligibility or access tospecialty programs like Family Camp. Pioneer Park Hoppers Bike CampIf If your camper is already a skilled bike rider, this is the perfect camp for them! Campers will spend the week biking andexploring different parks across Milwaukee. What is required to complete the registration?To complete your registration, you must fill out the required online forms and submit your insurance information, thedate of your most recent tetanus shot, and a completed USDA Household Income form (one per household).Why do I have to submit a deposit for participation?Due to the significant investment of time and resources required to provide high-quality programming, all families areasked to submit a refundable deposit to prevent no-shows. Based on family feedback, the deposit is $20 for astandard camp session and $10 for a one-week specialty camp.Does PEAK provide transportation?Yes! We provide transportation from Milwaukee to Lake Valley Camp. For Day Camps, we provide a southside bus stopfor families who select that option during the online registration.How will we know what to pack for Lake Valley Camp?We will email you the packing list before the camp sessions begin. We will also have paper copies available for pick upat our office.Is food provided at your camps?Yes! At our Milwaukee-based camps, breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided every day. At our Lake ValleyCamp, we provide all meals and snacks. Unless your child has dietary restrictions, we ask that you do not bring foodfrom home.Will I get to communicate with my child while they are at Lake Valley Camp?We’ve learned that telephone conversations exacerbate homesickness and we don't allow regular phone calls homefor our campers. Instead, campers can write letters and parents/guardians can call our main office for an update; wework to respond within 24 hours. Parents/guardians may also send letters or emails to [email protected],which are provided to campers. We also post photos to our Facebook page!Do you have any drop-in programming in Tiefenthaler Park?Community Camp is PEAK’s park activation initiative that promotes a vibrant, safe and positive park space inTiefenthaler Park. Daily each summer, we offer free meals, recreational activities, and workshops in the park to build asense of community in our public green space.Does PEAK offer any programs for schools?Leadership Labs, PEAK’s school-based leadership programs, guide students developing and implementing schoolcommunity improvement projects. Participants brainstorm ways to improve the school community, create a plan ofaction and implement projects that use their power to positively impact their school.
