Process in selecting the new employees
1. Application
From the hiring group's perspective, you simply wait for candidates to respond to
your job ad. Functions, on the other hand, may and should be used as selection
tools to help you categorise individuals as qualified or unqualified.
2. Resume Screening
This is one of the most used worker selection approaches for moving candidates
to the next stage by identifying and eliminating those who don't quite match what
you're looking for.
3. Screening Call
The screening call, often known as a cellphone screen, is one of the early hiring
stages in which recruiters shortlist candidates. The purpose of this name is to
determine whether the candidate is truly interested in the work and (at the very
least) minimally qualified to execute it well. Only the best candidates will advance
to the next,
4. Assessment Test
Once you’ve screened candidates and sorted them out into “promising”,
“maybe”, and “disqualified” groups, you favor to seem at the surviving candidates
and similarly examine their capability to do the job you’re searching to fill.
5. In-person interviewing
You’re now deep in the determination process, having screened candidates,
evaluated their skills, assessed their abilities, and created a shortlist of the
most certified people. It’s sooner or later time to meet
in character with these promising candidates and decide who’s going to be
your subsequent hire.
6. Background checks
Background checks ensure that your finalists are trustworthy and do not pose a
threat to your business. Employers may use pre-employment tests, for example,
to ensure that candidates have stated the truth in their resumes or that they are
not already using illegal drugs.
7. Decision and job offer
Now it’s time to let them recognize you’re supplying them a role at your
company. The job provide manner is a crucial one; executed right,
you’ll quickly welcome your new employee in the office. But, if you pass
over something, you would possibly lose a magnificent candidate and have
to begin the hiring system all over again.
3. Tips for working from home
• Allowing employees to work from home,
even if only for a portion of the time. If you're not comfortable with full-time
possibilities, consider whether 1 day per week might suffice. Consider allowing
people to attend meetings remotely (through technology) rather than in person.
• Limiting the number of hours worked.
This entails creating a workplace culture in which employees are not expected to
work after hours. It can also mean limiting the number of hours an employee is
expected to work in a given week. After hours, some companies even disable
their e-mail servers to prevent messages from being forwarded.
• Paying attention to top management's image and culture.
employees will be more encouraged to do the same if they see their bosses
promoting (and living) the concept of work/life balance, and they will be less
afraid that the culture will not support it.
• Concentrating on results rather than hours worked.
High productivity does not have to be measured in 8-hour increments. In other
words, productive employees may be able to complete their tasks quickly and not
need to be on the job for the entire 8 hours every day.
• Assisting staff in completing day-to-day activities.
This could take the form of on-site or nearby benefits that allow employees to
complete more personal errands and household tasks during working hours. In
some situations, employers may even provide a discount. This minimises overall
tension and frees up more time at home.
