Believe (Playbill)

6x9, 16-Page, Playbill

Hey Family,

Wow! I can’t BELIEVE this night is finally here!
Tonight, you’ll see a familiar story, told through a
modern day perspective. You’ll hear music that you
will love...and that will even make you dance. You’ll
see characters that you can relate to. And, you’ll
see performances that will truly touch your heart.

Working on this show as the Executive Producer has been amazing! I’ve
had the opportunity to work with a team of script writers, songwriters, cast,
singers, producers and musicians that brought this presentation to life. This
experience has challenged and stretched us all. When Pastor Battle and
Pastor Marshall presented the idea to have a Good Friday Experience I knew
exactly the direction this production should go. It was a huge undertaking in
a short amount of time, but I knew with the team we have at Zion we would
get it done. It is a familiar story to us all, but I must admit that every time I
read it, I hear or see something different that I never noticed before. That’s
the cool thing about God’s word. It never changes, but each time you read
it, it can reveal something new. Our hope is that tonight, you’ll see or hear
something that you’ve never seen or heard before from this incredible love
story.

This weekend, we celebrate the ultimate sacrifice which was made more
than 2,000 years ago by our Lord and Savior Jesus, Christ. I have to thank
the amazing cast, crew, band, singers, production team, Zion Church staff
and my family for the sacrifices they’ve made over the last several months
to help bring this play to life.

Now, are you ready to BELIEVE? LET’S GO!!

Joshua Davies

Joshua Davies
Executive Producer

Rollo and Keisha are a modern day couple navigating a crazy and sometimes
challenging world. Though they love each other, Keisha’s new found love for
the Lord has changed the dynamics of their relationship. Out of reverence
for God, she no longer wants to partake in the same worldly lifestyle she did
before she accepted Jesus into her life. She is on-fire for God and wants
Rollo to experience His Spirit. Rollo is skeptical of God and isn’t totally on-
board with Keisha’s new lifestyle.
As Keisha tries to show Rollo the joy of being filled with the spirit of Christ,
they embark on a path that all too much resembles Jesus’ journey to the
cross. They encounter several different people along the way that start to
change Rollo’s perception of God, but will he BELIEVE before it’s too late?
