What is the DHU HUB (Hapi 2.0 App)?The DHU Hub (The Hub) is your ‘one stop shop’ - to help you stayconnected, supported and informed.The Hub sits within the Hapi2 app. Think of Hapi2 as the platform,and the Hub as your DHU space inside it.The Hub includes:Your benefits - including Practical Health Plan, EmployeeAssistance and Advice (EAP) and on-demand GP serviceLinks to other DHU information and resourcesWellbeing and supportNews and updatesRecognition and rewardsGuidance to help you get the most from life at DHUDiscounts and offersPage 3


If you’re new to DHU, you can activate your account and get started inseconds by:Visiting https://dhuhealthcare.hapibenefits.com on your laptopor PC, orDownloading the Hapi 2.0 app from the App Store or Google PlayOnce there, activate your account using your work email address andcreate a password. You may also be asked for:Your date of birth, andYour six-digit payroll number (available in your MyDHU employeeaccount: https://ce0781li.webitrent.com/ce0781li_ess)You’ll then receive an email to verify your accountIf you need help getting started, the Hapi app support team can helpon 0800 542 5930 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm).Important to know: You have access to everything in the Hub from day one, including the Employee AssistanceProgramme (EAP). The only benefit you won’t see straight away is the Practical Health Plan. Your Practical Health PlanAs part of your benefits, DHU provides free Level 1 Health Cash Plan cover, fullyfunded by DHU, to support your health and wellbeing.The Health Cash Plan becomes available once you’ve been with us for six months. Ifyou can’t see the Health Cash Plan on the App straight away, that’s because it willappear automatically once your six-month service period is confirmed.However, the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and On-demand GP areavailable from day one.Your Level 1 Health Cash Plan includes:Dental care - claim back for check-ups, fillings or hygienist visitsOptical care - claim towards eye tests, glasses or contact lensesTherapies - claim towards treatments such as physiotherapy, osteopathy orchiropractic careMaternity or adoption benefit - receive £100 towards costs (eligibility criteria apply)Inpatient care and outpatient appointments - make claims for overnight hospitalstays, consultations and appointmentsYour Level 1 Cash Plan Benefits are listed in the table on page 10.If you’d like extra cover or higher limits, you can upgrade your plan to Level 2, 3 or 4(fees apply).Check the FAQ section for details on how to make a claim and upgrade your personalbenefits.Page 8


What are my Practical Health Plan Benefits?After six months of service, all DHU colleagues have access to Level 1 of thePersonal Group’s Health Cash Plan cover (see the table below). This offers arange of benefits beyond the Employee Assistance Programme and OnDemand GP Service. It is provided free of charge and fully funded for you byDHU.If you’d like additional cover or higher limits, you can upgrade your plan atcertain times of the year. An announcement in the Hub signals when theupgrade ‘window’ opens. If you opt to pay extra, the benefits available toyou will vary depending on the level of cover you choose.Page 9

Can I increase my Practical Health Plan Benefits?All DHU colleagues have access to Level 1 Health Cash Plan cover, which isfree of charge and fully funded by DHU.You can upgrade your cover for an additional monthly fee, but upgrades arenot currently available year-round.When can I upgrade?At present, you can only upgrade your Health Cash Plan twice a year, duringthe upgrade windows in June and November.We know colleagues would welcome more flexible upgrade options, andwe’re exploring this for the future. For now, upgrades are only possibleduring these bi-annual windows.Who is eligible to upgrade?To upgrade your plan, you must:have at least six months’ continuous service with DHUnot be on a zero-hours contract onlymake sure the upgrade deduction would not reduce your basic pay belowthe National Living WageHow to upgrade your planWhen an upgrade window is open:Log in to your DHU Hub, either via a web browser or the Hapi 2.0 appGo to the ‘Quick Links’ sectionSelect ‘DHU Health Cash Plan Upgrade Form’Complete the form with the required details and submit itDuring the upgrade window, the form will be visible only on the specifiedupgrade dates.Page 21


Can I include family members in my Practical Health Plan?Yes. You can pay extra fees to add a family member(s) to your PracticalHealth Plan using the DHU Health Cash Plan Upgrade Form.The form is available twice a year, during the June and November upgradewindows.To add a family member, you’ll need to provide:Their nameTheir ageConfirmation that they live at the same address as youAny additional family member must be added to the same plan level as you.If you’d like someone to join a different plan level, you’ll need to complete aseparate upgrade form for that plan.When and how will I know if it’s been approved?The approval process usually doesn’t take long.You’ll receive confirmation by email to the email address linked to your DHUHub (Hapi) account.How do I pay for upgrades?Fees for personal upgrades to the Practical Health Plan and those foradditional family members will be taken from your monthly pay and indicatedon your payslip.What happens if my request is denied?Email at [email protected] to find out why an upgrade requestor additional membership may have been denied.Page 22


Why can’t I see some services or therapies listed on the claim form?You can still claim for these services. Some items don’t currently appear clearlyon the claim form, even though they are covered.So, for example, although the claim form refers to permanent contact lenses, youcan also claim for daily (disposable) contact lenses. Both are included under theoptical claims.Can I only claim for permanent contact lenses?No. Although the claim form refers to permanent contact lenses, you can alsoclaim for daily (disposable) contact lenses.Both permanent and daily contact lenses are included under optical claims.Can I claim for chiropody?Yes. Chiropody is included, even though it isn’t always listed clearly on the form.When making your claim:Select the ‘Therapy’ optionChoose chiropody from the dropdown listWe’re working with Personal Group to improve how these options are shown, soit’s easier to see everything you can claim for in future updates.Page 23


Why can’t I see how much I have available to claim in the Hapi app?At the moment, all DHU colleagues are listed under the same policy number,which means the Hapi app can’t yet show individual balances.We’re working with Personal Group to change this. In future, you’ll be able toview your own account, see what you’ve already claimed, and check how muchof your annual allowance you have left.This is a larger project, but we’re actively developing it to improve visibility andsimplify claims.How do I use the Employee Assistance Programme?Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a free and confidential supportservice that helps employees with personal or work-related concerns.
