About DHU Over the past 30 years, our not-for-profit community interest company has grown from a Derbyshire-based out-of-hours GP service to a leading healthcare provider serving over 15 million people across the Midlands, Milton Keynes and London. Collaborating with NHS systems, GP federations, and commercial providers, we deliver innovative, integrated solutions to ensure our patients receive the right care at the right time. As a key part of the NHS frontline, we lead urgent care within Emergency Departments, Urgent Treatment Centres, GP surgeries, and communities. Our diverse workforce provides a full range of clinical specialist services, both in and out of hours. Our offerings include community nursing, urgent treatment, primary care streaming, GP home visiting, and more. We are also at the heart of the NHS 111 service, responding to calls from multiple advice centres. Our team includes Health Advisers, Clinical Advisers, Pharmacists, Paramedics, and Dental Nurses. Since 2019, we have proudly held an 'OUTSTANDING' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), reflecting our commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
