GoForte Installation Instructions

To download the software, please download and install the following:

ftp://www.fortedata.com/setup.msi
ftp://www.fortedata.com/setup138-32.exe for 32-bit Windows XP, 7, or 8
ftp://www.fortedata.com/setup138-64.exe for 64-bit Windows XP, 7, or 8

GoForte Software Installation Instructions

1. If you are using your own on-site Forte server, first make a note of your program
settings.

Go to START -- PROGRAMS -- 4c -- 4cClient. Click on Connect -- Modify -- fortedata.com and
record the SERVER ID.
This is your server's IP Address.

2. Start your browser, you can use Internet Explorer or Firefox, etc, and go to this
link: ftp://www.fortedata.com . You should see something like the following:

3. Right-click setup.msi, select "Save As", and download it to a folder that you can get to
with Windows Explorer or My Documents, it doesn't matter where. Where you've
downloaded this file, proceed to step 3.

4. Right-click setup138-32.exe or setup138-64.exe, select "Save As", and save this file to the
same folder as the previous file.

5. Double-click SETUP.MSI, and you should see "4C Client Installation" on the title of the
window. Click Next to start. Click Next at the Destination Directory screen. Click Next at the
Select Components screen. Click Next at Ready to Install. Click Ok on 4C Group. Click
Finish at Installation Completed.

6. Close any open Window that the installation left open, i.e.: C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs\4C.

7. Double-click setup138-32 or setup138-64.exe. Click Next at the Welcome screen. Click
Next at the Destination Folder screen. Click Finish at the final screen.

8. If you are using your own on-site Forte server, go to START--PROGRAMS--4C--4cClient.
Click on CONNECT -- MODIFY -- fortedata.com, and put your server's IP address in the
SERVER ID field, click on OK, and close the 4cClient.

9. The installation is complete.
