Invention of food canning
The food canning was created by nicolas francois appert
between 1750 - 1841, a french chef and candy maker. Appert
started bottling plant in 1804 and won a 12,000 franc prize
from the french government for his method in 1809.
Purpose of food canning
Canning, method of perserving food from spoillage by storing it. Containers that
are hermetically sealed and then sterillized by heat.
Impacts on food canning
Food canning helped save food. Food canning also help food from spoiling so
instead of buying food just can the food and heat it to a good temperature that
destorys micro- organsim that cause food to spoil. The agricultral revolution were
heavily affected by food canning. Because tins cans were such an easy way to
transport food over long distances.
Who were the inventor
Nicolas appert was a french inventor of airtight food perservation. Appert , known
as the ¨the father of canning¨ , was a confectioner. Appert described his invention
as a way ¨of conserving all kinds of food substances in containers.
What product were created as a result of the
invention
Canning was a process for preserving food (vegetables, fruits, meats, and fish) by
heating and sealing it in airtight containers.
