Dr. Ioannis Minas
Assistant Professor of Pomology (Colorado State University)
Dr. Minas comes from the village of Kalyvia in Pella, Greece. He received his Bachelor's degree and postgraduate
degree from the Agricultural Faculty of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Then he was created Doctor of Philosophy
of Agricultural Science from the Arboriculture Laboratory of the Department of Agriculture of Aristotle University of
Thessaloniki as a scholar of the State Scholarship Foundation. From 2015 he is an Assistant Professor of Arboriculture
at the Department of Fruit and Vegetable and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO,
USA. His research activity includes the understanding of the parameters that affect the physiology and productivity of
the peach tree, as well as the collecting and post harvesting quality of the fruits. In close interaction with the stone fruit
industry, he is responsible for the evaluation of new varieties, subjects and peach and cherry shaping systems. He is the
main author or co-author of over 20 publications in S.C.I. in the field of horticulture and post-harvest physiology. Since
2017, he has been serving as Peach Subject Substitute Coordinator under the umbrella of the NC140 interprofessional
program of the United States Department of Agriculture.
Manel Simon
General Manager of Afrucat
Manel Simon is a graduate of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Lleida. Since 2007,
he has been acting as Chief Executive Officer of the Afrucat Fruit Consortium. At the same time, he is member of the
Board of Directors of AREFLH, and has previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the Catalonia Qualitative Catalan
Consortium of Fruit. He speaks Spanish, English and French.

Dr. Ignasi is former senior researcher at in the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA-Catalonia, Spain)

Dr. Athanassios Molassiotis
Associate Professor of Pomology in the Faculty of Agriculture,
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki-Greece
Dr. Athanassios Molassiotis, is currently Associate Professor of Pomology in the Faculty of Agriculture, Aristotle
University of Thessaloniki-Greece, having more than 15 years experience in fruit science. He graduated from Aristotle
University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Division of Agricultural Sciences (1998). He continued his studies in AUTH and he
received MSc (2001) and PhD (2004) diploma with grants of distinction in the field of fruit physiology. After working
as post-doc researcher, he was elected as Lecturer (2005) at AUTH in the field of Pomology. At 2008-2009, he visited
CNRS-Bayer CropScience Joint Laboratory (Lyon, France) and in INRA-AgroParisTech (Paris, France). His research
work combines physiological and molecular approaches to investigate fruit tree physiology and fruit biology. He has
published 66 research papers He has co-ordinated or participated in 23 funded research projects.
Nicholas Christodoulou

Nicholas Christodoulou is a graduate of UMIST (Mechanical Engineering). He is the CEO of CHB Group (Christodoulou

Stelios Theodoulidis was born in 1961. He is a graduate of The Mechanical Engineering School and Law School

Konstantinos Apostolou was born and raised at Naoussa of Imathia. He is a Graduate of Law School and Economics.
