In reviewing these applicants, the Nominating Committee considered the following qualification criteria:

We encourage you to learn all you can about the three BOD candidates before casting your vote. Therefore, the following is a brief bio,
candidacy statement and conflict of interest disclosure information provided by each candidate.
Candidate Bios
Robert (Rob) Clancy
Born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan Rob attended Michigan State University on a Baseball scholarship
where he earned All-Big Ten and District 4 All-American First Team selections as a sophomore pitcher in 1971.
Although an injury cut short an athletic career, he subsequently earned a BS in Social Science and began a career
as a fundraising professional with two National Healthcare organizations; The Muscular Dystrophy Association
and The Easter Seal Society based in Mid-Michigan. These experiences led to a deep, abiding commitment to
community service. Planning fundraisers with fraternal organizations and appearing as guest speaker to groups
supporting these charities was both heartwarming and character developing. While serving as Executive Director at
Easter Seals, a fundraising presentation made to a Lansing, Michigan based startup company led to an employment
offer that blossomed into a lifelong career with Neogen Corporation, a manufacturer of food safety diagnostic
products. From Territory Manager to Director of National Sales for 4 divisions, his responsibilities led him to
become Corporate Manager for Beverage Services; successfully negotiating contracts with Pepsi Cola Company
Global Quality Group, The Coca-Cola Company US Quality Division and the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Quality
Assurance Division, US.
Rob and Gail married in 1981 and raised their two sons in Michigan, the oldest graduating from Michigan State and the youngest from
Central Michigan University. Gail and Rob retired on the same day in December of 2017 and immediately moved to SLV, building their
home on the 13th hole at Tara. Rob says “finding SLV was pretty easy based on our priorities; “No Snow, No Hurricanes, and No Alligators”.
“It only took one visit to know that this was our perfect place”!
• Statement of candidacy: “My life choices and career path have come full circle. I deeply believe in serving the needs of my community.
Candidate Bios
I planned my retirement years around volunteering and giving back to meet the needs of others. As a result, in my 5 years here at SLV I
have served as the President of the McCormick Lions Club for 3 years, keeping our Club intact thru the pandemic while still raising over
$50,000 to put back into local community services. As President of the Men’s Social 9 Hole Golf league for the past 2 years I’ve managed
our growth from 80 to 150 members. AND…most importantly, it is why I originated the Brick Walkway Project to fund our new patio
– THE OVERLOOK at TARA! In my career, I’ve negotiated contracts, drafted budgets, led countless special projects and work groups
but, nothing has ever been more satisfying than to see the Brick Fundraising Project be successful! This collaboration with SLV Leadership
and our Community Service Team has created a beautiful new addition to our campus for all to enjoy! I know we face challenges ahead to
manage growth and provide the amenities that make SLV a great place to live. As a member of your Board of Directors I’m determined to
help move our Community Forward.”

David Skidmore
I am originally from Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Brookville High School. I am a four veteran of the
United State Marine Corps where I served as a military policeman and was attached to the west coast security
contingent for former President Nixon. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, at the rank of
sergeant, I spent two years with the Garden Grove Police Department in Southern California. I moved back to
Dayton and joined the Montgomery County Sheriff ’s Office serving in the patrol division and detective division
until I retired at the rank of Sergeant. I have a total of 23 years of service in the law enforcement field. I joined
NCR Corporation, headquartered in Dayton, as an investigator in the Global Security department. I was eventually
promoted to Vice President of Global Security and Corporate Aviation and was with NCR for 17 years. My wife
and I moved with the company to Atlanta, Georgia. We moved to Savannah Lakes Village in June 2018. I have been
a realtor in SLV since 2020. I operate as an LLC with my license being held at Savannah Lakes Village Real Estate.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Southwester College.
While I was at NCR I served on the Board of Directors with the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce, for
three years, and was member of the finance committee as well as the committee involved in a national search for new CEO. When I left
NCR I headed an international security team that had security responsibilities in facilities around the world (100+ countries). I reported to
the CFO and eventually CEO of a fortune 500 company. Between the security team, aviation team and contractors the organization had
over 800 people and I managed an operating budget of $118 million dollars.
• Statement of Candidacy: I am a candidate for the board as I bring a strong sense of understanding from both the perspective as a
resident and with insight from those who I’ve worked with that have moved to the community, and with those considering a move to
Savannah Lakes Village. With my background at both an operational and strategic level I believe I have the necessary attributes to serve the
interests of this community. I would work to insure we not only maintain or fiscal responsibilities, but also seek new avenues for financial
growth for our operations and our SLV community. I firmly believe we need to improve the speed at which we make decisions, and
implement those decisions, and not be adverse to implementing changes or new ideas that would benefit the current and new members of
Savannah Lakes Village.

Greg Walker
I met Jenny at Miami University, married in 1980 and moved to Rochester NY where we raised four wonderful
children. We now have six grandchildren. During our years in Rochester we dreamed of escaping snow and
winter after retirement. That dream led us to purchase property in SLV during 2006. A few years later, we started
spending our vacations at SLV. The amenities, value proposition and the welcoming nature of the SLV community
solidified that SLV was the right place for us. During those early visits, Jenny & I volunteered to help with the
NGA tournament hosted at the Monticello Golf Course.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Systems Analysis from Miami University. After graduation, I worked
38 years for Kodak in roles of increasing responsibility driving business process change utilizing information
technology. My experiences spanned roles in multiple business process areas including R&D, manufacturing,
logistics, purchasing, accounting, sales operations and supply chain. I was a member of a select team which was
tasked with reengineering and implementing business process change across all business units worldwide. This role
Candidate Bios
allowed me to interact and engage technical and business leaders inside and outside the corporation. I retired from Kodak as the IT Director
of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) within the Corporate Information Systems organization. In that role, I had responsibility for
setting strategic direction related to information technology investments. In order to successfully define strategic investments plans over a
3-5 year horizon, I was required to engage executive leadership to understand business goals, understand technology direction, organization
capabilities and business constraints.
Jenny & I relocated permanently to SLV in February of 2018. Since moving to SLV, we both have become active members within the
community. My commitment to SLV includes being the chair for the Strategic Planning Committee, President of the Men’s Golf Association
and SLV board member for the last two years.
Since moving to SLV, I have actively engaged in various roles across the community. My interest in running for the SLV board is a
continuation of that engagement and allows me to contribute my talents back to the community. Throughout my career, I worked across
many business process areas. I believe my experience of understanding organizational goals and defining strategies based on both internal
and external factors is leverageable to the requirements of being an SLV board member.
• Statement of Candidacy: I envision SLV as a growing and vibrant community with a great set of amenities and a strong value proposition
compared to planned community peers. As SLV transitions from financial survival to growth, the board and operations are being
challenged to provide the expected services and amenities for a growing population. My experience over the last two years has increased in
my understanding of SLV operations and challenges. As a board member, I want to contribute to the development of solutions as well as
to set a strategic direction which will position SLV as a wonderful place to live for all our members.

E HAD A friendly overcast
sky, and the temperature
was in the mid seventies,
when eight range members
of SLV's Rod and Gun
Club showed up for Len Azzarano's
“Shoot, Don't Shoot Production” on
August 20th.
Individual targets were set up, twenty five
feet in front of each shooting stand. Each
target sheet contained various geometric
shapes, which were numbered and distinct
in color (see the picture). Len briefed us as
to safety requirements and the format for
the day's shoot. With shooters in the ready
position, he used a bullhorn to call out,
one target at a time; the color, the number,
the shape and shots to be fired. Each
go around consisted of expending a five
round magazine, five times. Intervals were
provided for reloads.
It was a good learning exercise in
isolating a selected target and firing at
it within a brief amount of time before
the next announcement. The sound of
gunfire from neighboring stations added
an additional challenge to the experience.
It proved to be a fun and easy way to gain
proficiency and expend some ammo.
Thank you, Len.•

Practice being humble everyday. See humility as a strength, not a weakness. Just
because you are humble doesn't mean you're a doormat, to be walked on or stepped

non-threatening presence in a group; stay unflappable when under fire; try not to
