What’s Happening At

The SGBC newsletter will publish once a month on the 1st of each month. In this edition, we will recognize the
members who celebrated a birthday and anniversary since our last edition, see pages 8-12.

The Adult Usher Ministry hosted a free backpack giveaway on July 31st. Over 300 backpacks were given. The
adult ushers, joined by the youth ushers, are seen packing the backpacks and waiting to give them away. SEMRHI
was on hand to administer the Pfizer vaccine. They have partnered with Shady Grove to offer the vaccine to the
community on numerous occasions.

Plans are underway for our 157th Year Home-
coming. The Homecoming is scheduled for
Sunday, November 7, 2021. COVID is dictat-
ing how we celebrate, but if our positive num-
bers have decreased and we are back in the
church building, it will not stop us from cele-
