Six weeks ago we came home after a long and difficult

Today we have our last Premier League match of the

G ood afternoon and welcome back here for “Sometimes

What a campaign it has been so far. It remind us why
almost feels like a lifetime ago that we we all love
opened the season with a win at Newcastle football...”
United yet here we are 90 minutes from the end of another
Premier League season.
Of course we will still have one more game to play
after we booked our place in the Champions League Final
on Wednesday with a 3-2 win at Ajax in dramatic fashion.
It was an evening none of us will ever forget. Sometimes
matches and moments remind us why we all love football
and to share those moments of celebrations with my players, 11
the staff and you fans was incredible, it was one of the best
nights of my life.
I have said it before and I will say it again; the players
are heroes, superheroes. We found ourselves 3-0 down on
aggregate yet never gave up. The players showed belief in
each other and their individual quality and found a way to
claw us back into the match and then into the final.
A thank you to you all for your support. We have shared
many special evenings together in Europe and we are so
grateful for your dedication and the commitment you show
in following us around the continent, at our home and to
those that are unable to attend matches also.
We have already made some history yet we want to be
remembered as winners of the competition. That is our
dream and we will do everything to make that happen in
Madrid next month.
For now though, we must park those thoughts and feelings
temporarily and return our focus to the league. We are close
to achieving another top four finish and that is our aim today;
to cement that and sign off with a victory here. In front of
us is another good side as we welcome Everton and their
manager Marco Silva. They have finished the season well
and will want to finish as high as they can themselves today.
As this is my last column of the season I want to wish you
all a good summer and I hope to see you in Madrid!
Enjoy the game.
