15TH YEARS CELEBRATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION
COMMISSION, ISLAMABAD.

20TH SEPTEMBER, 2017
UET Sports Department organized Football Match for the 15th Years Celebration of
Higher Education Commission, Islamabad in UET Football Ground. The match played
between UET Football Team Vs Rest of the UET Players. UET Football Team won the
match by 3-1.

At the end Director Students Affairs UET Lahore Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser distributed the
Prizes among the winners and Runner up Teams. He also thankful to HEC for awarding

UET CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP 2017-2018
13TH TO 24TH NOVEMBER, 2017

The final match of UET Cricket Championship 2017-18 played between Faculty of
Chemical Vs Faculty of Civil. In this Championship Faculties of UET Lahore, Faisalabad
Campus, KSK Campus, Narowal Campus and RCET Gujranwala participated and all the
matches played on knockout basis. Faculty of Civil won the UET Cricket Championship
by 08 Wickets and Faculty of Chemical remained 2nd.

The Chief Guest Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid distributed the
Medals, Shirts and Trophies among the winner and Runner up Teams. The Worthy Vice

Mr. U.E.T. Senior and Mr. U.E.T. Junior Body Building Competition organized by the Sports
department of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore in the University Sports
Auditorium Hall on 20th December, 2017.

Mr. Haroon Fareed from Transportation Engineering Department Reg. No. 2016-TE-
07 declared Mr. UET Senior & Mr. Abdus Samad from Institute of Business Management Reg. No.
2014-MBA-040 remained Mr. UET Junior in Body Building Competition.

The final match of UET Tape Ball Cricket Championship 2017-18 played between Faculty of
Mechanical Vs Rachna College of Engineering & Technology, Gujranwala. In this Championship
Faculties of UET Lahore, Faisalabad Campus, KSK Campus, Narowal Campus and RCET Gujranwala
participated and all the matches played on knockout basis. Rachna College of Engineering &
Technology, Gujranwala won the UET Tape Ball Cricket Championship by 19 Runs and Faculty of
Mechanical remaind 2nd.

Mehmood Qaznavi) and Female (Ayesha Hall). In this Championship 78 Players (47 Male and 31
Female) participated from different Departments.

Under the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore Sports department the Annual
Swimming Gala of the University was held at University of Engineering and Technology Swimming
Pool on 14th of May, 2018.

A large Number of Students participated in Annual swimming Gala 2017-18. On the
concluded day, the Director Sports Punjab Sports Board Muhammad Hafeez Bhatti distributed the

Varsity Cricket Tournament Zone 2017-18 organized by University of Engineering and
Technology, Lahore.

LUMS Lahore, FCCU Lahore, University of Education Lahore, King Edward Medical
University Lahore, Minhaj University Lahore, UVAS Lahore, Garrison University
Lahore, Leads University Lahore and UMT Lahore).

University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and University of the
Punjab, Lahore Cricket teams has qualified for the All Pakistan Intervarsity Cricket
Tournament Final Round 2017-18 which is going to be held at University of the Punjab,
Lahore under the auspices of Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.

At the end Mr. Farrat Hussain Ex-International Badminton Player
awarded combined match of the match to the Mr. Sammar Abbas (2016-MS-EN-17)
and Mr. Muhammad Waqas (2016-ME-95).

The Final Round will be started from 15th of February, 2018 in University
of the Punjab, Lahore and 16 teams from all over the Pakistan will participate.

The Final match played between University of Central Punjab Vs University of
Engineering and Technology, Lahore. University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore played
first time in final of All Pakistan Inter-Varsities Cricket Tournament Final Round 2017-18.
University of Central Punjab won the 41st All Pakistan Inter-Varsities Cricket Tournament Final
Round 2017-18 beating University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore by 09 Wickets in the final
and University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore secured 2nd Position.

Earlier, University of the Punjab, Lahore beat BUITMS by 07 wickets and remained
third.

At the end Chief Guest Assistant Director Sports Higher Education Commission,
Islamabad distributed the Trophies and cash prizes, among the winners and Runner up Teams.

players and said Sports is essential part of our education and also advised to UET Cricket Team
about their techniques and gave some suggestion to University for the betterment of Sports to
prevail Sports culture in UET Lahore.

It is my privilege to inform you that UET Lahore Wushu Player Mr.
Maisam Raza (2016-CH-53) achieved Silver Medal (2nd Position) in Performance Tao
Lo QANG QUAN Technique in the 7th All Pakistan Inter-Varsity Wushu Championship
2017-18 under the shed of Higher Education Commission, Islamabad from 20th to 22nd
February, 2018 organized by University of Management and Technology, Lahore. On
this occasion Director Sports UMT, Lahore distributed the prizes to Winner and
Runner-up.

Under the auspices of Higher Education Commission, Islamabad All Pakistan Inter-
Varsity Hockey Tournament Zone “D” 2017-18 organized by University of Engineering and
Technology, Lahore. The Ex-Olympian Mr. Muhammad Usman inaugurated the opening ceremony.

The following Teams participated (PU Lahore, GCU Lahore, UET Lahore, LUMS
Lahore and UVAS Lahore).

University of the Punjab, Lahore and Government College University, Lahore
Hockey teams qualified for the All Pakistan Intervarsity Hockey Tournament Final Round 2017-18.

Under the auspices of Higher Education Commission, Islamabad All Pakistan Inter-Varsities
Women Karate Championship 2017-18 started in University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore
Sports Auditorium Hall organized by Lahore College for Women University and University of
Engineering and Technology, Lahore from 14th to 15th May, 2018. The following 09 Teams
participated from all over the Pakistan.

(UET Lahore, PU Lahore, LCWU Lahore, University of Lahore, UVAS Lahore,
Sargodha University, GCU Faisalabad, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan and UMT Lahore.

University of Lahore won the All Pakistan Inter-Varsities Girls Karate
Championship 2017-18 and University of the Punjab, Lahore secured 2nd Position.

At the end The Convener of Sports Committee Dr. Zulfiqar Ali distributed the
Medals and Trophies among the players and he also appreciated the efforts of players and Sports
Department.

CHAMPIONSHIP, 2017-18

University of Central Punjab won the 36th All Pakistan Inter-varsity Water Polo Championship
2017-18 beating University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore by 12-06 Score in the final
match.
University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore organized the event under the auspices of
Higher Education Commission Islamabad.
University of Central Punjab done 12 Score with Sami Ullah Nazir getting 6 Score and Junaid
Ashraf Khan doing 6 Score. In reply, UET, Lahore got just 06 Score.

Earlier, University of the Punjab, Lahore beat Superior University, Lahore to secure the third
