CRMC ED Earns Top Spot for ED to Admit Status

In November, Conroe Regional Medical
Center had the lowest time (203 minutes)
in the entire company for facilities that
see more than 40,000 patients a year in
their emergency department. This is a
key metric to overall satisfaction on both
the inpatient side as well as emergency
department side.

This was a team effort by CRMC
employees! Administration is
appreciative of every single employee
in the hospital for putting our patients first
on a daily basis. Thank you to all
those involved!

HCA Healthcare Named a Top Company for Women 2018

Our parent company, HCA Healthcare, was named one of the Top 50 Best Companies for Women 2018 (Large)
based on a survey from compensation, culture and career monitoring website Comparably.

Updated PC Software License Policy

Your directors have received the new PC Software License Management Policy (LL.IP.002), which
they will review with you.

The key messages from the updated policy are as follows:

1) All software that needs to be installed should be brought to IT’s attention prior to purchasing.
We have to make sure that the software is from an approved HCA vendor meaning we have to go
through a process to make sure the vendor is following our strict guidelines related to the protection of
patient data as well as other sensitive data about Conroe/HCA. This may include the vendor having to
sign specific agreements such as a Business Associates Agreement (BAA) or Information Security
Agreement (ISA), both of which has to go to legal for review.

2) Free software
Most “free software” is free for the individual user but once you download it as a representative of a
business then it does have a cost associated with it so please refer to option 1 above when
downloading/installing any software.
