Letter from the CEO

Happy Monday!

The past two weeks have been awesome. I really enjoyed getting to celebrate Nurses Week and
Hospital Week with you all and I hope you had as much fun as I did! Please know how appreciated
you are, not just during those weeks, but throughout the entire year.

We now have another week to celebrate – the 45th annual
National EMS Week, which is from May 19-25, 2019. EMS Week
brings our community together with emergency medical personnel
to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day
lifesaving services of medicine's "front line."

As a Level II Trauma facility, we’re fortunate to work closely with our
local EMS partners. These brave men and women are the first to show
up when people need them the most. Be sure to thank emergency medical personnel this week!

The two-day safe sitter class for girls and boys ages 11-13 will be offered four times this summer:
June 27th-28th and July 11th-12th

The class teaches young adolescents how to handle emergencies when caring for younger
children. Students get hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques so they are prepared to act
in a crisis. They receive information on child development and age appropriate activities and also

learn about babysitting as a business.

The fee of $45 includes a babysitting
backpack, supplies, continental
breakfast, catered lunches, and
drinks from our cafeteria.

The class is held in the Auditorium
from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. each day.
