For the past few years we’ve placed a high importance on making sure you, our teammates,
have avenues to effectively share your voices. We understand the importance of having a voice
in the decisions that affect YOUR work, which is why Conroe now has numerous committees,
meetings, councils and groups, including:
• Unit-based councils
• Night Shift Council
• Nursing Committee
• Shared Governance Council
• Power of One nomination opportunities
• One-on-one meetings with leaders
• Reoccurring staff meetings
• Voice Boxes
These groups are always looking to grow… if you have an interest in joining any of the
committees listed, please let your department leader know! They can get our in touch with the
proper contact to join.

March of Dimes 2019

The March of Dimes educates medical professionals & the public about
best practices, based on research for mothers and babies. Past research
affecting our practice today include:
- Polio Vaccine
- Folic Acid Vitamins during pregnancy
- Surfactant Therapy to promote infant lung function
- Assigning Apgar scores after birth

quarter, one for each of the Standards of
