[1-20] 항상 새롭게 하라

사람이 거듭나지 아니하면
하나님의 나라를 볼수 없느니라(요3:3)

흔히 우리는 기도회 때는 신령한
듯 하지만 기타 일상사에서는 그렇지
못한 경우가 많습니다. 성령으로 거듭
나는 것은 오직 하나님의 사역입니다.
이는 바람처럼 신비합니다. 하나님께
결코 작은 일이 아닙니다. 우리는 중
생이 어디서 시작하는지 모릅니다.

Are You Fresh for Everything?

Jesus answered and said to him, "Most
assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born
again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

—John 3:3

Sometimes we are fresh and eager
to attend a prayer meeting, but do
we feel that same freshness for
such mundane tasks as polishing
shoes?
Being born again by the Spirit is
an unmistakable work of God, as
mysterious as the wind, and as
surprising as God Himself. We
don’t know where it begins

중생은 우리의 개인적 삶의 심층에
숨겨져 있습니다. 위로부터의 거듭남
은 거듭난 순간부터 한결같이 언제나
영원합니다. 생각과 언행에 있어 항상
새로워지기 때문에 하나님의 생명에
대한 놀라움을 늘 발견하게 됩니다.

it is hidden away in the depths of
our soul. Being born again from
above is an enduring, perpetual,
and eternal beginning. It provides a
freshness all the time in thinking,
talking, and living— a continual
surprise of the life of God.

생기 없는 삶은 하나님과 보조를
맞추고 있지 않다는 증거입니다. ‘나
는 이 일을 꼭 해야돼. 지금 하지 않
으면 절대로 해내지 못할거야.’ 이런
태도는 영적 침체의 첫 징조입니다.
우리는 지금 이 순간 새롭게 거듭나
있습니까? 아니면 무엇을 반드시 해
야 된다고 조급해 하고 있습니까?

Staleness is an indication that
something in our lives is out of
step with God. We say to
ourselves, “I have to do this thing
or it will never get done.” That is
the first sign of staleness. Do we
feel fresh this very moment or are
we stale, frantically searching our
minds for something to do?

새롭게 되는 일은 순종에서 오는
것이 아닌, 성령으로부터 오는 것입니
다. 순종은 하나님이 빛에 거하시는
것처럼 우리를 빛 가운데 머물게 합
니다. 항상 새롭게 하십시오. 당신과
하나님과의 관계가 제대로 유지되고
있는지 심혈을 기울여 점검하십시오.
예수님은 “우리와 같이 그들도 하나
가 되게 하옵소서”(요17:11)라고 기
도하셨습니다. 즉 둘 사이의 관계에
다른 것이 끼어들어서는 안됩니다.

Freshness is not the result of
obedience; it comes from the Holy
Spirit. Obedience keeps us “in the
light as He is in the light…” (1
John 1:7).

Jealously guard your relationship
with God. Jesus prayed “that they
may be one just as We are one”
— with nothing in between (John
17:22).

평생을 예수 그리스도께 자신을 개
방하고 살아가십시오. 주님께 마음을
주고 있는 체하지 마십시오. 당신은
하나님이 아닌 다른 근원에서 생명수
를 긷고 있습니까? 당신이 다른 어떤
것에 의지하고 있다면, 당신은 주님께
서 당신 곁을 떠나버리신 것조차도
알아차리지 못할 것입니다.

Keep your whole life continually
open to Jesus Christ. Don’t pretend
to be open with Him. Are you
drawing your life from any source
other than God Himself? If you
are depending on something else as
your source of freshness and
strength, you will not realize when
His power is gone.

성령으로 거듭난다는 것은 보통 생
각하는 것보다 훨씬 깊은 뜻이 있습
니다. 중생은 우리에게 새 비전을 주
고 하나님의 생명을 부단히 공급하여
범사에 온통 새로워지게 하는 것입니
다.

Being born of the Spirit means
much more than we usually think.
It gives us new vision and keeps us
absolutely fresh for everything
through the never-ending supply of
the life of God.
