DR. ARTHUR G. IBAÑEZ, ASEAN Engr., CESEOIC, OFFICE OF THE UNIVERSITY PRESIDENTIt is with great pride that I extend my warmest greetings to all students, athletes, cultural performers, coaches, officials, organizers, and guestsas we gather for the Cagayan State University Meet 2026 at CSU-CarigCampus.This year’s theme,“Championing Strength and Unity,” reflects the truespirit of our University Meet. Beyond competition, this event celebratesexcellence, resilience, and the unity that binds our campuses together. Our student-athletes and performers exemplify strength throughdiscipline, perseverance, and dedication, while our socio-cultural andsports activities foster teamwork, respect, and a shared sense ofbelonging. The University Meet is more than just games and performances; it is aplatform for holistic growth, leadership, and the cultivation of values thatwill guide our students throughout in life.I commend the tireless efforts of the organizers, coaches, officials, andsupport staff, and I encourage all participants to compete withintegrity, perform with passion, and uphold the higheststandards of sportsmanship. As one CSU, let us moveforward together—championing strength, nurturingunity, and inspiring excellence. May this UniversityMeet be a meaningful, memorable, and successfulcelebration for all.
Once again, we shall hold the University Meet where sports and sociocultural events are lined up. I am delighted to extend my warm greetingsto the University and Campus officials, Sports officials, the University andCampus Student Councils and of course the athletes, participants, coaches and officiating officials. The primary focus in many cases of theUniversity Meet, which is certainly an important aspect to attain thehighest degree of excellence and discipline, is to teach students the spiritof focus, dedication, hard work, commitment, and teamwork. This eventshould be a \"character-building\" event for all of us. It should be anavenue for all the athletes, contestants, coaches, referees, judges, andspectators to build strength from solidarity and unity through sports andarts. We are proud to announce that all necessary logistics are readilyavailable for Cagayan State University (CSU) as an avenue to representSU in our Regional SCUAA (State Colleges and Universities AthleticAssociation) and eventually to the National SCUAA. This is a testamentto our commitment to excellence and our readiness to shine on thenational stage. To my dear students, it is our responsibility as adults tovalue camaraderie, cooperation, and sportsmanship not only within ouruniversity but also in our lives. We should look at our actions rather than focusingon winning or losing, as the true essence of this event. As Nelson Mandela once said,\"It always seemsimpossible until it's done\". Let us draw inspirationfrom these words and push beyond our limits. We have the potential to achieve anythingwe set our minds to, and with teamwork, we canmake the impossible possible. Enjoy the gamesand play well, then you will be the real winners.Good luck to all!PROF. MARIDEN VENTURA-CAUILAN, DPA, CESEVICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
