ประโยคเงื่อนไข (Conditional/If-Clause) แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ประเภท คือ
Type 0: If + S + V1, S + V1 ใชก้ บั ส่ิงท่ีเป็นความจริงเสมอ
ตวั อยา่ ง If the temperature reaches 100 degree Celsius, water boils.
(ถา้ อุณหภมู ิถึง 100 องศา น้าํ จะเดือด )
* น้าํ จะเดือดเม่ือถึงอุณหภูมิ 100 องศา เป็นความจริงเสมอ
Type 1: If + S + V1 (Present Simple), S + will + V.infinitive
(Future Simple)
ตวั อยา่ ง If she comes, I will go. (ถา้ เขามา ฉนั จะไป)
อนั น้ีความหมายตรงตวั ถา้ เขามา ฉนั กจ็ ะไป
Type 2: If + S + V2 (Past Simple), S + would + V.infinitive
(Present Unreal )
แสดงถึงส่ิงท่ีไม่เป็ นความจริ งหรื อเหตุการณ์สมมติท่ีเกิดข้ึนในปัจจุบนั
ตวั อยา่ ง If she came, I would go. (ถา้ เขามา ฉนั จะไป)
*ความจริงคือ เขา (she) ไม่ไดม้ า ฉนั จึงไม่ไดไ้ ป
Type 3: If + S + had + V3 (Past Perfect), S + would + have + V3
หรือท่ีเรียกวา่ Past Unreal
แสดงถึงส่ิงท่ีไม่เป็ นความจริ งหรื อเหตุการณ์สมมติที่เกิดข้ึนในอดีต
ตวั อยา่ ง If she had come, I would have gone. (ถา้ เขามา ฉนั จะไป)
*ความจริงคือ เหตุการณ์น้ีเกิดข้นึ ในอดีต เขา (she) ไม่ไดม้ า ฉนั จึงไม่ไดไ้ ป

The Fox and The Goat
หมาจิ้งจอก กบั แพะ

Once upon a time, one day, the fox carelessly fell down to a

deep well. It tried many times to climb up but the well was too sleep.

The fox was exhausted. The goat walked by and saw the fox in the

well. It asked curiously, “hello friend, what are you doing?” The fox

suddenly got a trick. He pretended to drink water and said, “oh! It is

very refreshing! Come on, if you want to drink, I will share it with

you.” The goat believed that was true. It jumped into the well without

thinking. The fox got a chance. It quickly jumped on the goat’s head

and sprang upward from the well. “Ha ha ha… Stupid goat! Try to

climb up.” The fox laughed and ran away. It leaved the goat to find a

way up alone.

กาลคร้ังหน่ึงนานมาแลว้ มีหมาจิ้งจอกตวั หน่ึงเดินซุ่มซ่ามจนพลดั ตกลงไปในบ่อน้าํ หมาจิ้งจอก
พยายามตะเกียกตะกายจนหมดแรง แตก่ ข็ ้นึ จากบ่อไม่ไดส้ กั ที เพราะปากบ่อสูงเกินไป แพะตวั หน่ึงเดินผา่ น
มาพบ จึงถามข้ึนดว้ ยความสงสยั วา่ “เจา้ ลงไปทาํ อะไรในบ่อน่ะ?” หมาจิ้งจอกคิดอบุ ายข้ึนไดจ้ ึงแสร้งด่ืม
น้าํ และพดู วา่ “กน็ ้าํ ในบ่อน้ีฉ่าํ ช่ืนใจมากน่ะสิ ขา้ วา่ จะด่ืมใหห้ มดเลย แตถ่ า้ เจา้ อยากดื่มบา้ ง ขา้ กจ็ ะแบ่งใหช้ ิม
ลงมาสิ!” เจา้ แพะหลงเชื่อคาํ พดู ของหมาจิ้งจอกกระโจนลงไปในบ่อน้าํ โดยไม่ทนั ย้งั คดิ ตมู ! หมาจิ้งจอกได้
โอกาส กระโดดข้ึนเหยยี บหวั เจา้ แพะ แลว้ กระโจนข้ึนจากบ่อน้าํ อยา่ งรวดเร็ว “ฮ่ะ ฮ่ะ ฮ่า เจา้ แพะโง่เอย๊ !
หาทางข้ึนจากบ่อเองละกนั นะ” หมาจิ้งจอกหวั เราะก่อนจากไป ทิ้งใหเ้ จา้ แพะ ดิ้นรนอยทู่ ี่กน้ บ่อตามลาํ พงั

Consider the other’s word before believing.
จงคิดไตร่ตรองก่อนจะเช่ือคาํ พดู ของผอู้ ื่น

Vocabulary
Curiously = ซอกแซก
Sprang = กระโดด

The Ants and the Grasshopper
มดกบั ตกั๊ แตน

On a summer day, a lazy ,happy grasshopper enjoyed singing
on the grass. Along train of red ants struggled to carry food not far
away. “Hurry up! Let’s carry food to keep for a whole year. ”Seeing
the ants, teased the grasshopper. “Why are you in such a hurry on this
fine day? Rest for a while and sing a song with me.” The red ants
paid no attention to him. They kept on working. Before long, the
summer passed and the difficult winter came. The grasshopper, who
had busied himself playing, had no food to eat in the winter time. The
grasshopper ate no food for several days. He tried hard to find
something to eat but he had nothing. He thought of the red ants who
had kept a lot of food. He braved the cold air to see them. Finally, the
grasshopper struggled to the red ants’ nest. He begged, “ My dear
friends, I’m very hungry. Would you please give me some food?”
Seeing the poor grasshopper, the red ants shook their heads in disgust.
“ Sorry, we can’t give you any food. Our stored food is only enough
for us all the winter time.” “ If you had gathered food instead of
singing all the last summer, you would not have been like this,” said a
red ant at the end. The grasshopper went out into the snowstorm.
Since then, the song of the happy grasshopper was heard no more.

ในฤดูร้อนวนั หน่ึงมีตกั๊ แตนเจา้ สาํ ราญผแู้ สนเกียจคร้านกาํ ลงั นง่ั ร้องเพลงอยา่ งสบายใจอยบู่ น

ไปทาํ ไม อากาศดีๆแบบน้ี น่าจะหยดุ พกั แลว้ มาร้องเพลงกบั ขา้ สกั เพลงนะ” แต่ฝงู มดแดงกไ็ ม่สนใจ ยงั คง

มุ่งหนา้ ทาํ งานกนั อยา่ งไม่หยดุ หยอ่ น ไม่ทนั ไรฤดูร้อนกผ็ า่ นพน้ ไป ฤดูหนาวอนั แสนแร้นแคน้ กม็ าเยอื น
เจา้ ตก๊ั แตนมวั แต่เที่ยวเล่น จึงไม่มีอาหารเกบ็ ไวก้ ินในหนา้ หนาวเลยสกั นิด เจา้ ตกั๊ แตนไม่มีอะไรตกถึงทอ้ ง
มาหลายวนั แลว้ แมม้ นั จะพยายามเดินเสาะหาอาหารเท่าไหร่กไ็ ม่พบ มนั นึกถึงฝงู มดแดงท่ีตุนเสบียงอาหาร
ไวม้ ากมายจึงซมซานฝ่ าความหนาวไปหา ในท่ีสุด เจา้ ตกั๊ แตนกเ็ ดินโซซดั โซเซ มาถึงรังมดแดง “มดแดง
เพือ่ นรัก ขา้ หิว เหลือเกิน พวกเจา้ พอจะแบ่งอาหารใหข้ า้ กินสกั หน่อยไดไ้ หม” เจา้ ตกั๊ แตนออ้ นวอน เม่ือ
มดแดงเห็นสภาพเจา้ ตก๊ั แตนกไ็ ดแ้ ต่ส่ายหนา้ ระอาใจ “เสียใจดว้ ย พวกเราแบ่งอาหารใหเ้ จา้ ไม่ไดห้ รอก
เพราะอาหารที่เราหาเกบ็ ไวม้ ีพอแคใ่ หพ้ วกเราผา่ นฤดูหนาวไปไดเ้ ท่าน้นั เอง” มดแดงตวั หน่ึงกล่าวทิ้งทา้ ยวา่
“ตลอดฤดูร้อนทีผา่ นมาหากเจา้ เอาเวลาร้องเพลงไปหาอาหารมาเกบ็ สาํ รองไว้ เจา้ คงไม่ตกอยใู่ นสภาพเช่นน้ี
” ตก๊ั แตนจาํ เป็นตอ้ งเดินจากไปท่ามกลางพายหุ ิมะต้งั แตน่ ้นั มากไ็ ม่มีใครไดย้ นิ เสียงเพลงของตกั๊ แตนเจา้
สาํ ราญอีกเลย.

Diligent today for comfortable in the future.
ขยนั ทาํ งานในวนั น้ีเพ่ือความสบายในวนั หนา้

Struggle = ต่อสู้ Attention = สนใจ
