LMOy VE
Written by Jack Greiner
Illustrated By Jen Huber

When you were younger
We’d play a game
That was so very silly
It had no name

To play this game
You didn’t need smarts
Just a lot of love
And two very big hearts

And the game required
Just one simple task
When you’d see something big
You always would ask

“Mom, did you see it?”
You’d usually holler

Then you’d ask if my LOVE

Was bigger or smaller

One day you looked up
At the enourmous sky
With the sun and clouds
And the birds ying by
You asked if my love
Was as big as the sky
And as I looked down
At your curious eye

I said that my LOVE

Would just make the sky look
Like a tiny page
In a minature book

And one day we stood
On a white sandy beach
With the glistening ocean
Just out of reach

You asked if my love
Was as big as the sea
And I smiled a big smile
As you looked up at me

I told you as big
As the ocean appeared
It’s a puddle compared

To my LOVE for you, dear

One Sunday we took
A long walk at the zoo
And a gigantic
Elephant stared right a you

You wondered aloud
As you looked at that beast
If my love for you
Could be that big at least

And I laughed out loud
In the elephant house

My LOVE made that jumbo

Look as small as a mouse!

While driving one day
A truck loomed before us
When you called it big
I called it enormous

You wanted to know
If my love was as big
As that gas guzzling
Massive, road clogging rig

The answer I gave,
Which I knew you would like

Was next to my LOVE,

That big truck was a trike

We saw a mansion
This one night on TV
They counted the rooms
There were 73
You asked if my love
Was as big as that place
I said as I took
A long look at your face

If my LOVE were a house

It would not be that hard
To t 3 mansions
In the back of our yard

We saw a lm once
And it featured a whale
Huge tidal waves formed
With the ick of its tail

And of course the thing
That you wanted to know
As we headed home
At the end of the show

Was whether the love
I was feeling for you
Was big as that whale
So immense and so blue

And I said as I patted
Your head like a puppy

My LOVE makes that whale

Look just like a guppy

And you asked one day
Back when you were just 4
If my love was the size
Of that big dinosaur

I explained to you
Like I was your teacher

My LOVE is 10 times

As big as that creature

And try as you might
you just never could nd
A thing quite as large
AS this big love of mine

And keep on looking
Till you face turns bright blue
But therre is nothing

LOVEAs BIG as my for you!
