after he confesses his sins.

hester, pearl, and her father
finally where at the end when
they held hands on the
scaffold.

V is for visage, the word
hawthorne used many times when
describing one's appearance in

W is for widow, this is was
hester was believed to be and
why her punishment wasn't the
usual execution that was done
for “sinning”.

meaning kiss, When pearl saw
dimsdale at the gathering she
was compelled to give him a
kiss.

YY is for yearning, pearl

yearns to know a lot of things
throughout the book, she wants
to know what the letter means,
who her father is,if the black
man is real,and much more.

Z is for zeal, they showed
great enthusiasm for all
things surrounding god.
