- Greeting adalah sapaan yang bisa kita gunakan apabila bertemu dengan seseorang
- Leave taking adalah perpisahan yang ungkapan – ungkapannya biasa kita gunakan apabila akan
mengakiri pertemuan atau berpisah.
- “I have to go now” : dipakai untuk mengakhiri pembicaraan dan mengawali perpisahan.
- “ Be carefull” atau “Take Care” berarti “ berhati – hatilah.”
- Kata “by the way” di pakai untuk mengalihkan pembicaraan.
- Kata “ Good night” dipakai untuk perpisahan pada malam hari yang berarti “Selamat tidur”
biasanya di jawab dengan “Have a nice dream” yang berarti “Semoga mimpi indah”
- Good morning digunakan dari jam 00.00 s/d 12.00 (Jam 00 dini hari sampai dengan 12 siang)
- Good day/noon diucapkan jam 12.00
- Good afternoon digunakan dari setelah jam 12.00 s/d 18.00
- Good Evening dipakai dari jam 18.00 s/d 24.00(00.00)
- Good night digunakan untuk mengucapkan selamat berpisah/selamat tidur.
- p.m. (Post merediem) = dari jam 12.00 siang s/d 24.00 malam
- a.m (Ante merediem) = dari jam 24.00/00.00 s/d 12.00 siang
- Di Indonesia menggunakan jam sistem 24 jam sedangkan di Inggris/Amerika menggunakan
sistem 12 jam dengan menggunakan a.m (ante meridiem) dan p.m (post meridiem) untuk
membedakan malam dan siang.

I.3.1. Singular and Plural Noun ( kata benda tunggal dan jamak)
Singular noun adalah kata benda tunggal
Contoh : book, dictionary, ruler, bicycle, class, bus, glass, bench, bush, quiz, mango, potato, hobby,
fly, city, knife, leaf, child, fish, foot, tooth.
Plural noun adalah kata benda jamak
Pada umumnya kata benda jamak ditulis dengan menambahkan ‘s’ pada benda tunggal. Ada beberapa
aturan dalam membentuk kata benda jamak
1) Dengan menambahkan ‘s’
