Geographically, our target markets include the UK and International markets with active Franchise licences

properties from apartments to investment land.
 
Over the past 6 years, we have collaborated with well-established brands and offer our clients residential
homes and investments.
  
In the UK alone, we target the owners of the 25 million homes. In the year ending March 2018, there were
871,194 recorded property transactions meaning a significant portion of UK homes are active opportunities.
 
With the UK Estate Agency market revenue at £11.1 Billion, the Online Estate Agency sector contributes 8%
(2018). This is expected to grow to 50% by 2022, indicating a potential 5-fold increase in achievable growth
in our sector. We match the High Street Estate Agency model with standard charges of 1-2% of the sale price
for existent homes demonstrating robust pricing and competitively meeting evolving customer needs.
 
However, we also have a growing participation in developments and international markets. As the demand
on housing increases, the Government has increased house-building targets to 250,000 per annum. This is
also a growing area of revenue as our commissions are higher for developments.

Marketing Strategy.

We maintain a competitive advantage in the market as we are Tech focussed and operate in
multiple National and International locations.
 
We have combined our Franchise model with a focus on how Technology can improve the
customer experience. For example, we will raise awareness and attract customers by
growing our Google and social media campaign. We use targeted ads that provide the right
demographic online with a link to our website. Customers are then connected to a
Franchisee.
 
We will grow our Franchise network to 150 Franchisees by 2022. Our model is strong as our
Franchisees are accountable for instructions in their that area. So we place experts close to
our customer’s doorstep.
 
We invest in analytics to target the right customer base and will increase our network
incentivising loyalty, as we retain 70% of our customers via repeat business and referral
strategies. We maintain relationships as our cloud system means we are immediately
responsive and reliably share key information.

 

Competition Strategy.

 

 

 

Traditional model is set up with commission paid on completion; they typically charge 1%-2%
typically having a 12 week contract in place. This model has branches/shops on the high
street. This sector is showing that the high street is losing traction and footfall with this year
211 shops closed in the first 6 months of 2018, jut below pubs and bars. High overheads,
online competition and a fall in commission’s revenue have been the biggest factors in the
closures.
 
Online only agents generally charge upfront or defer the payments for 10 months. They are
generally seen as just listing agents and not incentivised to sell the property. This model is
usually set up with employing many staff within a call centre along with listing agents that
cover large areas. This means they are unable to offer a fully personalised service with
vendors/buyers often dealing with different members of staff.
 
nu:move is unique that we only charge on completion with no contracts or ties. All our
franchisees have a vested interest not only in their own local franchise but in the success of the
company. Our franchisees have full control from instruction to completion and are the only
point of contact for the vendors, this enables a fully personalised service throughout the
marketing and sales process. Our franchisees offer local property knowledge operating in
their own area making this an added advantage for the customer to know that for a fair price

Meet The Co Founders.

 

 

nu:move was co-founded by twin brothers Aran and Karan in December 2013. Both Aran and
Karan were studying Biomedical Sciences at University of London Colleges. While in London
they found themselves searching online for properties instead of visiting the high street
agents. This is when they realised that there was a gap in the market for a hybrid online estate
agent. They called on the expertise of family members including Parminder Co Founder, CEO
and Accountant by profession, whom have been dealing with commercial property since 1997,
to help set up nu:move. Aran and Karan have continued their studies with Aran now a PhD
Candidate at King’s College London and Karan completing his MPhil & Medicine at University
of Cambridge.

From High Street to Online to being my own boss:

 

Be fore nu:move, I began my career working within the traditional high street model. After many years I started to

see the advances of technology and decided to take a different career path and worked for a well known online
agent. After a couple of years I realised that this model wasn’t offering the service that the consumers wanted or
needed. I also felt that the traditional high street model needed change and with the advance of technology and
online marketing I decided there must be a way of combining a blend of traditional values with a modern
approach. I wanted to become my own boss but without the expensive set up and running cost of starting from
scratch. After some research and due diligence I came across nu:move. A business that allowed me to be my own
boss, run my own business at a fraction of the cost of setting up on my own. I had now discovered a model that does
exactly what I thought the industry needed. A business model with low overheads that meant these savings could
be passed to the consumer but at the same time being able to offer the full estate agency service operating in my
own territory. From valuation to completion the franchise model is set up so that each franchisee is able to offer a
full hands on local service along with the back end support from nu:move that helps streamlines the business for the
franchisee.
When employed in the corporate world you're earning fees for the company but you only get to keep 5-20% for
yourself, you work long hours in sometimes stressful environments which can be draining. The setup of nu:move
turns that on it's head and now I keep the bigger portion of the commission and I'm building something for myself
and my family.
When I invested in the franchise I was a franchisee operating in my own territory. I soon became a Regional
Director. With myself and the Co-Founders of nu:move working very closely, having the same vision of how the
business operates, with how we see the industry changing and what the industry needs, I then became Operations
Director.
nu:move operates across the UK with Regional Directors in all the major cities across the country. We also diverse
into other areas that includes overseas properties, investment properties and auction.
What does the future hold for nu:move?
We are already established, knowledgeable and profitable. The next steps for nu:move is to roll out the successful
nu:move franchise to all corner corners of the UK. We are now in a position to grow the profile of the company.
With the online / hybrid model having 8% of the market there is considerable room for growth. With the high
streets not having the footfall they once had and the online only model seemingly faceless, unable to offer a service
to match the consumers expectations and not profitable there is a real place in the market for a model like nu:move
that offers the same local presence as a traditional model without the high overheads that are needed to run an
office but with modern methods.
