Read To Lead
The book titled, “The Worst Thing About My Sister” is a work of fiction. It tells us about two sisters who argue almost everyday. Marty and her big sister Melissa couldn’t be more different and they don’t get along.
Marty is a messy tomboy and loves animals, sitting in her cozy den and drawing her own comics - especially her favorite character Mighty Mart.
Melissa on the other hand is girly and super annoying. My favorite part of the book is when both sisters prank each other and tease each other.
I would recommend this book for readers who like exciting stories with an amazing ending.
It is a heart touching story and I feel that this book is suitable for ages 8-12.
It is really funny and it is one of the best books I’ve read till now.

TED TALK
“WHY SHOULD I DONATE MY TIME?”
There’s two different types of charity; donating your time and donating your money.
Although donating your money seems easier than donating your time, these two have big differences.
People often think that writing a cheque is far too easy compared to volunteering, so obviously it’s not as meaningful as volunteering.
However, money can actually help an organization far more than a few hours of someone’s time can.
Of course, that doesn’t mean you should resort to just donating money.
It may help people financially, but giving your time will impact someone’s life by a huge scale.
Sure, that person will appreciate your donation, but they won’t get to know you as a person.
Volunteering gives you a chance to meet new people who you probably wouldn’t have an opportunity to meet before. Another great thing about choosing to be a volunteer is to see your impact with your own two eyes.
This won’t only encourage you to keep on helping others, but it will give you a great feeling of happiness and accomplishment.
People who have volunteered tend to associate this to the sense of fulfillment and achieving something great. Therefore, giving your time to others will most likely be better than sending a donation when it comes to acts for charity.
Thanks for listening to my TED TALK :D

Spelling Bee Competition:
The Spelling Bee will support the Ministry’s initiative to prepare students for a global and knowledge-based economy, in line with the UAE’s Vison 2021 National Agenda.
We must continue to drive the English language as the global language of communication for our students and the Spelling Bee will serve as a platform for this. It will encourage educational distinction and serve as a catalyst for English language excellence for the current generation.
What is Spelling Bee?
Spelling Bee is a competition that targets all students mainly in elementary schools. The students are asked to spell words orally in front of audience. Spelling Bee competition is very popular around the world, but originally it comes from the United States.
Why we need to hold Spelling Bee Competition?
The objective of this competition is to encourage students to explore the English language and its roots. It will help students to learn to spell quickly, accurately and with comprehension. Through this competition, the young people of the UAE will compete with other students from across the country for national recognition reward by spelling a broad selection of words in English.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring all our schools together to take part in a competition that will not only raise awareness of the English language but will encourage schools to work together on a regional and national level.
Why is Spelling Bee important for our students?
As the competition is recognized world-wide, the Spelling Bee is an initiative that will equip the students to become global citizens. As we aim to move towards a first-rate education system, we need to push for our students to be among the best in the world. This competition will help us to showcase some of the nation’s young talent and encourage others to strive to become the best.
Who do we need for a successful Spelling Bee?
The participants: All students are welcome to participate in the Spelling Bee
competition, who are in G6 to G11.
The judges: We are going to have trained judges for each round, except school
round where the coordinator and the English teachers are going to take this role in their schools.
The pronouncers: The most important role in the Spelling Bee is the pronouncer, one or two pronouncers will be available for Sector, Final, and National rounds.
