Line

 an element of art that defines a shape, contours, and outlines
 Lines can be thick, thin, tapering or uneven
 Types of lines: outline, calligraphic lines, etc.

 line intersects with other lines to enclose a space to create a shape
 There are many shapes : square , triangle, circle , etc.

 Physical dimensions of an object
 Loud and soft, dark and light, big and small

Texture

 The surface quality of an object
 Also refers to the illusion in a picture
 Real textures are created to give a visual interest

Color

 comes from light
 rays include all of the colors in the spectrum or rainbow.
 be applied to other elements
 Categories : primary colors, secondary colors, warm colors, etc.

Warm colors: Ref/images:

Direction

 Every page design has a dominant direction
 Established by the placement of the most important elements.
 Common directions: Horizontal, Vertical, Diagonal
 Mostly used for changing the placement of an image
