Conditional Sentences

Conditional sentences คือประโยคเงือนไข ซึงมกั จะ
ประกอบด้วยอย่างน้อยสองประโยค โดยมักจะมีการใช้คําวา่
If หรือถ้าแปลเปนไทยก็คือคําว่า ถ้า นันเอง

Zero Conditional Sentences เงือนไขที 0
If people eat too much, they get fat. ถ้ากินมากจะอ้วน

First Conditional Sentence เงือนไขที 1
If I see her, I‘ll tell her. ถ้าพบเขาฉันจะบอกเขา

Second Conditional Sentence เงือนไขที 2
If I won the lottery, I would buy a big house.
ถ้ า ถู ก ล็ อ ต เ ต อ รี จ ะ ซื อ บ้ า น ห ลั ง ใ ห ญ่

Third Conditional Sentence เงือนไขที 3*
If she had studied, she would have passed the exam.
ถ้าเธออ่านหนังสือ เธอคงสอบผ่านไปแล้ว

Mixed Conditional Sentences เงือนไขแบบผสม
She would be a rich widow now if she’d married him.

โครงสรา้ ง

If + subject + had + v3 , subject + would* + have+v3
ป ร ะ โ ย ค ส ลั บ ที กั น ไ ด้

Subject + would + have +v3 + if + subject + had+v3

*ปฏเิ สธ ใช้รูปยอ่ hadn't / wouldn't
*could กบั might ใช้แทน would ได้

ใช้กบั เหตกุ าณ์ที ตรงข้ามกบั ความเปนจรงิ
ณ ตอนนัน (ในอดตี )
ส่วนมากจะเปนการราํ พึงราํ พันเสียดาย

ความจริงคือการแข่ งขั นจบไปแล้ว
และเขาก็ไม่ได้เหรียญทอง ทําให้ เขาเสี ยใจ

เขาก็คงจะไม่สอบตก, ถ้าเขาเรียน

ความจริง สิ ง ที อ ย า ก ใ ห้ เ กิ ด ขึ น

ความจริง คือ เขาไม่ตังใจเรียนเอาแต่นอนหลับ
พอสอบเสร็จผลสอบออกมาว่า เขาสอบตก

แล้วก็ไปไม่ทันขึ นเครืองบินด้วย
