Overview

Centillion has set-up Business Correspondence Service Points (BCSPs) for a large private sector
bank and these points serve the local population by providing basic banking services like liability
account enrolment, loan sourcing for the bank’s various loan products, cash withdrawal and
deposits. These service points are set-up within a village and serve the population of all the
villages within 5-8 KM radius of the bank’s branch. Manned during the day, the service points are a
good alternative to having a branch, which can be very expensive to set up for any bank. For the
customers, it allows them to keep their savings in their account and withdraw whenever required
as the access to such facility is far easier now. The BC points serve as an important tool for banks
to reach out to rural areas and offer banking services to unbanked sectors and population; it
increases the bank’s visibility too.
