DOLE Vision, Mandate & Strategies Consistent with the national development plan, its vision is the attainment of full decent and productive employment for every Filipino worker. It is mandated to promote gainful employment opportunities, develop human resources, protect workers and promote their welfare, and maintain industrial peace. To carry out its mandate, the Department has 16 regional offices, 34 overseas posts, 6 bureaus, 7 staff services, and 11 attached agencies for policy and program supervision and/or coordination. In Region 2, DOLE Cagayan Valley is complemented by its field offices in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya. Bagong Pilipinas Launched on July 3, 2023, Bagong Pilipinas is the new governance brand of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. characterized by a principled, accountable, and dependable government reinforced by unified institutions of society, whose common objective is to realize the goals and aspirations of every Filipino. Guided by the Bagong Pilipinas brand of leadership, DOLE Region 2 has been instrumental in the significant transformations in the labor and employment sectors in Cagayan Valley. It has strengthened its partnership with government agencies and units, institutions, and stakeholders as it strives to continuously uplift the socioeconomic condition of every Filipino worker in the region.
02 Message of the Regional Director It is with great humility that we present to you the reflection of the efforts and dedication of DOLE Cagayan Valley Region for CY 2023 through this Annual Report. This report shows the results of the shared aspiration we had with RD Jong for a Mahusay, Mabilis, Magalang, at Malinis na serbisyo-publiko. And I am happy to inform everyone that this brand of leadership in this region is being realized through the support and cooperation of the whole DOLE workforce from the regional to field offices. The countless efforts of our counterparts in the local government units through our PESOs, including our partners and stakeholders, are also well-acknowledged in this account. As we commit ourselves towards the BAGONG PILIPINAS direction led by Honorable President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., we pledge to continuously strive ensuring that every Filipino in this region is served and prioritized especially in the field of labor and employment.
