VBSN Newsletter

Hi all, Happy December! Hope you all had a great month of November.
November 11th here at TTUHSC Lubbock Campus we hosted a great Veterans
Day event. November 16th the Lubbock RWB (Red, White, and Blue) Team had
a “Carry the Can” ruck in correlation with TTUHSC and Lubbock Impact.

This month Dr. Debbie Sikes, Sara Henly, and I are attending an Education Fair
December 1st at Ft. Hood. Glenn Barnes attended the University Health Systems
Education Fair Nov 30th and Dec 1st in San Antonio. December 10th our first
VBSN cohort will be graduating. Throughout the first couple of weeks of
December our sites around the state will be hosting face to face orientation for our
2017 cohort.

I will hold Zoom office hours this month Friday Dec. 16th from 2-4 pm (CT). If
you would like to attend RSVP me, [email protected] and I will send you
a link to join.

To our inaugural VBSN graduating class, your VBSN team is so very proud of
each one of you. Being a first class is not easy and we appreciate your resiliency
and patience through this past year. The VBSN team has grown and learned from
your input. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and are looking
forward to watching each of you receive your diplomas.

Last and certainly not least, the US National Guard will be celebrating its 379th
Birthday. Happy Birthday National Guard’s men and women!

I wish you all very Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Zoom

• This month I will hold Zoom office hours Friday December 16th starting at 2pm and
ending at 4pm.

• Zoom allows us to have face to face interaction for all who decide to attend. Also, it
will help answer questions that you may not have thought of and will allow us all to
explore answers and options together. Zoom is currently what is used within the
TTUHSC SON as the main form of communication. So, this will also give you a head
start and familiarity.

• This month I ask that you RSVP to my email [email protected]. I will then
send you an email with the link to join.

• To access Zoom you can do one of two things. First option is to go through your
application provider and download the free version of Zoom and follow instructions.
Second option is click on link from your computer and follow instructions.
