Mediterranean Cruise July 22-30, 2017
Ancient Empires by Sea
IMPORTANT TRAVEL TIPS
Heavy seasonal travel causes long lines and delays
in both airport check-in and security, causing some travelers to miss flights. It will be your responsibility to pay for any increase in air costs due to not arriving at the airport in enough time. Below are some tips for a smooth travel experience.
• Airport: Arrive at the airport up to three hours prior to departure for international flights.
• Delays/Cancellations/Emergencies: If your flight is delayed or cancelled, call the Emergency Contact Numbers: 800-253-3421 or 636-827-5270.
• Flight Status: Check your flight status on the airline’s website or call your airline carrier within 24 hours of your flight departure to check on last- minute changes and cancellations.

• Luggage: Policies vary by airline, but most airlines charge for checking a second bag. The fee may vary, and some carriers charge less for bags checked in online versus at the airport.
• Medical, Health and Travel Assistance: Please refer to the “Emergency Medical Procedures/Medical Precautions” section of this booklet for important details regarding emergency medical coverage, Edward Jones’ travel assistance programs and medical information. Supplemental health/travel insurance is recommended for all travelers (a personal expense); medical expenses are not covered if you are not enrolled in the Edward Jones medical plan.
• Packing: Pack three days’ worth of clothing (per person), along with all valuables and medication, in your carry-on bags.
• Passports: Ensure the names on your passports match the names on your flight itineraries and that your passports are valid for the minimum length of time required for your trip. Additionally, confirm your passports are “electronic” with a digital chip containing biometric information about the passport owner, have a machine-readable zone on the biographic page, and contain the necessary number of blank pages. Refer to the “Travel Documents” section of this booklet for details.
• Traveler Safety: Be sure to review the important Safety Information posted on the Journeys of a Lifetime website prior to departing for your trip.

BEHAVIOR WHILE REPRESENTING EDWARD JONES
You and your family are undoubtedly excited to be preparing for your Travel Award Program trip. Your trip is a reward for your hard work on behalf of your clients, and an opportunity for your family to create special memories. So many of the children on these trips become friends and remember taking the trips together for the rest of their lives.
We want all the memories to be good, and we want all our children to remain safe. That’s why I’ve been asked to remind you about ensuring appropriate behavior
for your children, especially your teenagers. The unfortunate truth is that, in the past, some children have behaved in ways that reflect poorly upon them as individuals and on Edward Jones as a firm, as well as compromising the safety of themselves and others.
As parents, during your trip just like at home, it is
your responsibility to monitor your children. It is your responsibility to know where they are at all times and to ensure that their behavior is appropriate. We are guests in these destinations, and as guests we want to enjoy ourselves in a way that is safe and respectful of the people who live there and others who are on vacation. It is Edward Jones’ policy that Financial Advisors (FAs) or their guests whose behavior is inappropriate will
be sent home and suspended from future trips. Please take a moment to remind your children of this and to establish some guidelines for them.
Thank you for your help and cooperation on this.

FINAL TRIP ITINERARY
As soon as your stateroom number is confirmed by the cruise line, you will be sent your cruise reservation number. If you have not yet received your cruise reservation number, you will receive it soon. Please go online to Royal Caribbean International (https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/beforeyouboard/ boardingDocuments.do) and complete your online check-in as soon as you receive your reservation number, but no later than four days prior to your cruise. You will also need your passport information and a credit card to set up your onboard expense account.
After completing your online check-in, your forms will be submitted electronically to the cruise line and you will be able to print your Royal Caribbean luggage tags. You will also be able to print your SetSail Pass, which you must present at the port terminal when
you arrive to embark, along with the credit card that you used to set up your onboard expense account and appropriate proof of citizenship and identification documentation. Please do not pack these documents in your checked luggage. If you are not able to complete online check-in within four days of your cruise, you will be required to complete the check-in process
at the pier two hours prior to the published sailing time. Note: All participants must be checked in and on board the ship no later than 3:30 PM on the day
of embarkation. Your Edward Jones luggage tags are included in this final mailing. Please remember to print your Royal Caribbean luggage tags at home and affix them to your luggage prior to leaving the airport after you claim your bags. The Travel Directors will have staplers at the airport or pier and at the hotel’s hospitality suite.
