Short Bio
Dr.-Ing Alhassan salami Tijani had his Ph.D (2010) in Process Engineering from Brandenburg
Technical University (BTU), Cottbus Germany, his Master’s (2004) in Energy Systems from Aachen University
of Applied Sciences, Juelich, Germany and diploma in Mine Mechanical Engineering from Ghana (1998).
Currently Dr.-Ing Alhassan salami Tijani is a senior lecturer of Mechanical Engineering at the Universiti
Teknologi MARA , Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. He is also a member of Centre of Excellence, Alternative
Energy & Renewable Centre (AERC). He joined the university in 2011, and subsequently served the Faculty of
Mechanical Engineering (2013-2016) as the course coordinator for thermodynamics II. Dr.-Ing Alhassan salami
Tijani has been lecturing on Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering and Computational Fluid Mechanics which
happens to be his areas of research interest and has published more than 22 technical papers in journals and
conference proceedings locally and internationally. The main focus of Dr. Alhassan’s research is computational
and experimental thermal energy systems, heat transfer enhancement for efficient nano cooling processes such as
car radiator, Renewable hydrogen Technology, Polymer Electrolyzer Membrane Technology, heat and mass
transport, solar energy applications and energy conversion.
