PANORAMA SURVEY
RESULTS&REFLECTION
LET'S HEAR IT.
PANORAMA SURVEY
RESULTS & REFLECTION
Each year, Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts solicits feedback from
our faculty, students, and families through an online survey administered
by Panorama Education.
Our vision is to be universally recognized as a top elementary school in
Chicago. We cannot do this without data-driven decision-making based on
our strengths and opportunities for growth.
As we ready ourselves for the 2016-17 Panorama Survey, we would like to
share with you the results and reflections gathered from last year's data.

PANORAMA SURVEY
RESULTS & REFLECTION
We set the bar high when reporting results, excluding neutral responses.
Even with these rigorous standards, last year’s survey highlighted many

While we are extremely proud of our many
accomplishments, we recognize that our strength as a
school relies upon continuous growth and improvement.
If we don’t change,
we don’t grow.
If we don’t grow,
we are not really living.

FAMILY PANORAMA SURVEY
RESULTS & REFLECTIONS
66% of parents feel confident in their
ability to connect with other parents.
AACA is not just a school. We are a
tight-knit community. We are a family.
To work towards all of our parents feeling connected with one another,
we’ve created better communication tools for our Mothers’ and Fathers’
Clubs to ensure all members of our school community are aware of ways to
interact socially with one another.
We also plan to revisit and strengthen the role of our classroom
coordinators to create more social opportunities for families to connect
with one another throughout the school year.
FAMILY PANORAMA SURVEY
RESULTS & REFLECTION
68% of parents reported that they felt a
partner with the school in decisions
made about their child's education
during the 2015-16 school year.
To offer parents more opportunities to provide decision-making input,
parents have gathered throughout the year with school leadership at
Parent Morning Meetings, Convos with Caz gatherings, and School
Advisory Board meetings.
We also encourage parents to serve on a variety of councils and
committees to support our school's commitment to academic excellence,
arts integration, and Catholic community.
FAMILY PANORAMA SURVEY
RESULTS & REFLECTION
of parents reported that their child
felt unsafe at school last year. While a
6% seemingly small figure, anything less
than 100% of our students feeling
100% safe while on our campus will always be considered unacceptable.
Over the past year, our parent community funded a major security
improvement at the school to ensure our students’ safety while on
campus.
Additionally, we also held a series of suicide prevention workshops for
students and parents. It is important that every member of our community
feels secure and safe. We are the eyes and ears looking out and listening
for all those on campus.
2015-16
PANORAMA SURVEY
These are just a few of the many initiatives in place this year as a result of
what we’ve learned from the annual Panorama surveys.
Last year’s survey was completed by 97% of faculty and students but only
by 278 parents, just 46% of our families.
Feedback is a gift. Please present us with an opportunity grow by
completing our annual Panorama Survey this year. Guided by your input,
we will continue to pursue our strategic plan.
